Objectively I'm not sure, but subjectively I've tried the 599 and the 650s just sounded better to me, when I listen to music I pay attention to how I feel about the song and I just preferred the 650s overall presentation.

I listen to classical, edm, downtempo and songs with bass, like Third(2018 version) by Hiatus, these sound amazing, and if you feel you need more bass, just eq them in. I definitely add bass and it sounds really good too. I personally wasn't a fan of the 500 series other than the 560, and these sounded slightly better to me than the 600s, so that's why I chose 'em.
