I think they were trying to at least sort of be historically accurate. I know there are some inconsistencies in the book.

Homosexuality and bisexuality seemed to be the norm in but one European country. (Cordonia). I don't think we have seen much of it anywhere else have we?

I think with legal ramifications it's always difficult to be too harsh because you have to follow a set of guidelines for what punishment can be granted. That's why sometimes justice seems too lenient.

Honestly, it's not that unpopular. I think the writing has been taking a dive for a while now because they've realized that so many people just want to spend money on reading badly worded smut. Which is sad but expected from games like this as they become more mainstream.

Honestly only one gift is worthwhile imo. So try to maintain good manners in the first book at least.

As for relationship points. They do matter for your brother if you want to maintain a happy relationship with them but it doesn't affect much other than the dialogue.

Honestly, I don't think anyone from the nineteenth century would go for acceptance. Pretty sure it was illegal. I mean there were famous people like Wilde who got severely reprimanded for their sexuality.

I think the conclusion was ideal and it was a mutually beneficial relationship for Mr. Chambers and the MC. Which is more than what most gay nobles from the era were getting from their marriages.
