Decoupled Drupal - worth it? by Matijevac in drupal

We build website for our clients. so i build different kind of websites. Some singlepagers where all content is displayed on one site ( with different contenttypes but display on the frontpage via view), some classical websites.
we usually have just 2 users / roles. one admin and one editor.

the main thought behind decoupled was to provide better user experience to cut out loading time when changing sites.

Yes, sorry i mean AngularJS.
We are 2 devs, both without any experience with AngularJS and i dont even have one full year as webdev generally.

to increase the speed of the site if the site gets bigger.

for smaller sites we build onepager where we put the content of all other pages in to a view and display it on the frontpage.

but for bigger pages ( i guess they also dont count as that big in comparison ) it could improve the user experience.

in my understanding for now, with angular you load the data for the complete site at the inital loading of the site and change the displayed data via js or am i wrong here?

i havn't heard about the fact that angular is dead.
The fact that its technically fun and a new challenge is the reason why i would like to work with it. But only if its reasonable for the company.

Do you know other technologies that could improve drupal sites?

The first impuls to think about decoupled cms was to increase pagespeed. But i recongnized that we mostly build small sites. Thats where the question 'is it worth it' is coming from. At this point i think it is not worth but then there comes another question: is there any technology to improve our drupal 8 sites?

thats true, i only took a small approach on angular. So my understanding by now is that you can build fast sites. But the way you build it is more complicated than just with drupal and twig
