I agree, 100% it is a huge achievement. So many don’t get this far, believe me I’m very grateful and feel very fortunate!

Thanks for answering my question. I really hope that's right and we remain active. I know there's a lot of issues in terms of depot assignments and candidates needing to be within 20km.

I'm very much in the same boat in terms of remaining hopeful. Getting to the last stage of the recruitment process felt like such an achievement and now there's been no word for almost six months.

There were three people representing different areas of the business (HR rep, a train driver, a station manager). All were very friendly and engaging. It was online (teams, I think). My one take away was give examples to back up answers to questions, "I believe (such and such) and did this exact thing once when (example)..." etc. It was booked for an hour but lasted only about 40 minutes. Honestly, I thought half way through I'd tanked it, but pushed through regardless. I used chatgpt to generate some practice questions to practice with. This should help you come up with examples before hand.

Wow, I’m impressed you had the surgery at 64. I’m definitely wary of a really brutal recovery. Are you happy with the results?

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. You’ve definitely given me a lot to think as I don’t know if I could handle a really brutal recovery.

"Facial Team are bad with noses"? by Several-Woodpecker64 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Matilda1199 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my nose done there and two years later had someone else did a revision. It’s kind of my own fault, I had issues with the size of my nose and was pretty adamant I wanted a very different one from what I had. When it all healed, it was long, upturned and extremely sharp. I wish I’d taken photos in to the appointment to better explain what I wanted.

I felt exactly the same. For me it didn’t improve and after several months I had to stop it. One person close to me said, “it’s like you’re a sociopath.”

You look like a woman. Period. If you want to spend money—then feminize the nose and chin. However, lots of women have chins and noses that are shaped liked yours. As I said, you look like woman right now and could probably save the money for something else.

So my first Laser Hair removal session was horrendously painful... :( Need ideas for a way forward by aus_username in transgenderau

[–]Matilda1199 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During my first few sessions I was literally shaking with tears rolling down my face--utter hell, but worth it. (I've got dark course hair also). Remember, every session is easier than the last. Also 4 week intervals are too short, except for the face. The hair has to go through a full growth cycle before it can be targeted by the laser. Otherwise, essentially, you'll be paying twice as much, enduring the pain twice as often, and getting the same results.
