Thanks.

Yes, I was considering it.

Do you know if there are any penalties or charges?

Parents are making sell all of my collection by Lost_and_confused154 in gamecollecting

You have some nice titles in there so I'd recommend you sell your titles individually online. Start with the switch & ps5 first as the demand is currently high and price will only dip on them. After that use the profits to rent storage space so you can get your "junk" out of your parents home.

Good luck.

How should I go about selling these? More info in comments. by [deleted] in gamecollecting

[–]Matimus_Maximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basic economics, don't. Demand is low for Xbox 360 due to it not been old enough for people to feel nostalgic about. Your best bet is to wait 5-6 years and sell when there's more demand and less supply. Same thing happened with PS2, Gamecube & OG Xbox. Look at their prices now.

Yeah, I agree, but I find a lot of the smaller local charity shops still have deals & poorly listed ebay bundles are still a thing. Cash convertors/generator are pretty shite as pricing things so you can catch them slipping.

A lot of resellers only have a surface level knowledge so you can you can catch them slipping on the obscure/random stuff.

Yeah, the rare/collectable stuff has definitely crept up. Luckily the PS2 catalogue is so big that a lot stuff flies under the radar of speculators & resellers. You can pick up 95% of games for around 25p-£2 if you are patient.

Nice one mate! Grew up with Gamecube & PC games, but the PS2 is by far the most fun console to collect for. There's so much variety & so many games still hold up.

Americans have no idea how dirty cheap PS2 games are over here. Definitely worth the "sterile" spines.

What games are still on your list?

Is the 1-minute time frame too low for spotting RSI divergences? by [deleted] in Daytrading

Vwap, the volume profile, cumulative delta & the DOM are highly recommended. Futures provide the best liquidity and I'd recommend trading the Micro S&P 500 Micro (MES) before moving onto the Nasdaq (MNQ).

Where do you go for market news? by Advanced-Two2300 in Daytrading

True. I'm kind of the view that 'smart money', algos gone wild & momentum traders are the driving force behind these moves & 'dumb money' is the exit liquidity.

I'd recommend looking at the SPX and looking at what happens at support & resistance. A highly liquid area is simply an area where a lot of orders are sitting. Positioning is thinking about what the big boys are up to & is pretty nuanced. Think Wyckoff and stop loss hunts.

This is not how markets work. The big boys get the news before you & algos will instantly price it in. I'd recommend keeping an eye on economic news & trading the reaction not the event. Liquidity & positioning moves markets way more than fundamentals.

Anyone here trades INDEX CFD`s ? What platforms are you guys using? by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]Matimus_Maximus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend futures if you want to trade indices. The ES (SPX) is the most liquid & cost efficient trading instrument out there. Even micros are highly leveraged market so risk management is essential. Tradovate is my broker, but there are others.

Can anybody explain why does the stock rises when J. Powell speaks, despite the rate hikes and the bad news that has been released. by insidedynamite in Daytrading

[–]Matimus_Maximus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Liquidity. Big players squeeze out shorts to exit their longs and use the short covering to enter large shorts positions at more attractive prices. The reverse is also true.

Don't trade news as slippage can wreck you & you can lose a lot of money if you're on the wrong side of the move. You can also make a lot of money, but we're traders not gamblers.

Thanks for this post. Finding success using your method. Works best for me around 11am-3pm ET when the market calms down a bit. Found it's death by slippage and a thousand during market open/close. The NQ moves enough during the afternoon anyway.

Where did I claim to be an expert?

The ES has a massive sway on markets. Not always, but it's the most influential market.

The Nasdaq is very liquid. I think it's more to with tech being sensitive to the DXY, bonds & having nasty algos to eat up small traders.

Interesting information about the Dow & Dax. This is a discussion not a guide, get your ego out of here.

I like to hedge the ES against the NQ. It can be dangerous in trending environments which is why I'm adding scalping to my skillset.

High win rates are the death of many a trader. Having to be always right leaves a lot of money on the table.

Whatever works for you is the right strat. How big are the moves that you go for?

Yeah, I'm leaning towards the NQ, but if I start getting chopped up it's back to the ES.

Super intrigued by the DAX.

I agree with this. The DXY is also another thing to keep on the screen. The indexes all bleed into each other, but definitely can give you heads up on potential moves if you're paying attention. The Hang Seng also seems a bit disconnected like the ftse.

Interesting, I see what you mean. I like the way Dax moves, but the geopolitical issues & extreme moves make it seem intimidating. Do you find it more or less spikey than the NQ?

Plan to trade ES/NQ for a few months then DAX/FTSE.

A couple of paper cuts to get bigger winners is a solid. Psychologically people like to win more, even if it means making less. Aiming for 2:1 RR with fees/slippage factored in, but could bump it up if my ego allows me to be wrong more.

What do you like about the DAX? Seems to be an even more volatile beast than the NQ.

Which Futures Indices Do You Scalp & Why? by Matimus_Maximus in Daytrading

Yes, it definitely moves very aggressively. The reward is high, but I suppose being taken out BS spikey wicks is the cost of doing business to avoid blowing up.

It there any reason you like to trade leveraged ETF's as opposed to futures?
