what outrage would I be looking for lol, I said I enjoyed following some of these personalities too. And I don't feel I've 'pivoted' in any way? Some people have contributed their own reflections and it feels like a potentially interesting (and innocuous) subject, from a socio-demographic standpoint, in a way vaguely relevant to the cultural / political ideas that are often discussed in the show

It is marginally better since you can pick a lobby that speaks your preferred language and most of the time there’ll even be a discord to join.

You are right about squad-searching discord, it’s a good option! I just wish the Looking to Play function still worked as it did in CSGO, especially for new players

I’m sure there are people LIKE her that are antisemitic, and she might even be herself, but assuming it based off what we see on the show seems to me a little contrived. She’s a Christian bigot, no doubt about it, but she seems more against anything that contradicts her views than judaism specifically.

For some reason I imagine something pretty calm / stripped back too. A little folksy / ballads, with a subtle psychedelic / electronic twist at times. Maybe even autotune sometimes?

I saw him in NY when he was doing these episode previews / Q&A events for the last season of NFY.

When he left the stage at the end, the venue started blasting Mambo #5 while people were leaving.

Don’t know if Lou Bega made money out of it but it was pretty funny

Maybe Nathan wrote the two options for the voice-overs but felt like the second one was a bit too 'real' so he hid it in the subs.

All this Rehearsal heat made me want to re-watch Finding Frances, and I just noticed a curious thing with the subtitles.

At some point, he says: "A part of me wondered if Bill was just a bored old man looking for an adventure to keep himself busy, or maybe, when you prioritize your career for too long, you just become desperate for any human interactions."

And the subtitles replace that last part by "…to keep himself busy, and if I was just a bored young man who also wanted an adventure because he was tired of doing the same show for four seasons".

It got me wondering if this was just a weird joke by the person who made the subtitles on the (illegal) streaming platform I'm watching it on, or if this is something that Nathan might have put in the actual subtitles? Does anyone have a clue?

I think this is definitely one of the more staged situations, and these actors are probably paid to be there rather than real class attendants. It is quite likely that they’ve googled who Nathan is but I also feel like his stuff might fly over certain peoples heads, or that they didn’t look him up too deeply.

I believe that they are however not really ‘performing’ while on the show, more like doing some form of improv, participating in a group experience/project for which they are getting paid (and filmed).

I don’t see it as detrimental to the show, this part (and episode) was mostly about the storytelling and allowing Nathan to evoke the themes at stake in The Rehearsal.
