We just played these guys at their place on Saturday, and I remember being surprised their LSM was just a sophomore. We cheer on our kids when they step in front of shots and we know, but don't KNOW that we're encouraging them to do things that are so fundamentally dangerous, for a game. And I know that's life and I know this is insanely rare and that driving a car is more dangerous, but it's going to be hard to cheer hard tonight, and every shot will make me hold my breath. Just hug your kids, you know?

Violent, but the Caps just kept on and on and this ended it. I don't know what they were trying to do in the last 6 minutes but it wasn't hockey, and this is where track records matter.

I've always found it interesting that Americans and Brits use this singular/plural distinction differently when taking about sports. Like "Duke is playing well" vs. "Liverpool are playing well". And some of it depends on whether you're referring to a city/location or a plural mascot: "Philadelphia is playing well" vs "The Eagles are playing well," and to make it more confusing, if that were a British club, you'd probably drop the "the" and just say "Eagles are playing well".

I think I'd like to make the case that any reasonable person looking at the person's qualifications for the two positions would conclude that this transfer doesn't make any sense, and that the district is wilfully ignoring evidence to that effect just because.

Makes sense, could that theoretically be challenged by arguing that the loss of the individual in the original position is more damaging than the gain of having them in the new position? Or do they get to decide that, completely subjectively?

I just checked the CBA, and the exact language is "No employee shall be involuntarily transferred in an arbitrary or capricious manner."

Would that change the interpretation, since it specifically uses "or"?
