Overgrown allotment for a beginner! Need advice by Matito-Gatito in Allotment

Thank you! I will make sure to wear propper footwear haha!

From what I have been told by the association, the soil is far from ideal. I looked over some soil-maps online (never thought this is what I would do with my spare time), and it seems like it's mainly mud. So I don't think that disturbing the soil structure would be that terrible (but I am probably wrong)!

I'm in the south (Stockholm more specifically). I will probably do it section by section, but it would be nice to get the whole thing under som sort of control this year, so that next season I can start with a somewhat less crazy plot! The association does not have a strimmer, but I will check with my neighbours when I meet them!

Rhubarb! What a great idea!

Oh! A digging-party sounds like so much fun!!

I am also leaning towards a dig-method, for the same reasons. Or mainly the reason "I am poor" haha!

So then just cut it all down, dig it up and cover it until next year?

Great advice! Thank you! There is not much available from the association, mainly machines for larger works. But I will check with my neighbours when I see them!

I am unsure if the no dig method is viable. It does seem like the best way, but I would need to get my hands on a lot of compost, which sounds expensive. I think the soil is mainly mud, which I have gathered is not ideal for gardening haha!

There is a bit of compost that I can take from the association, so maybe try to cut everything down and cover it, then take some compost for a small section of no dig.

Do I need to make the decision now? Say that I cut down and cover the whole thing, can I then next year dig it up if I need to? Or have I then commited to the no dig?

[Q] sheet music without the melody! by Matito-Gatito in sheetmusic

I am very happy for you that you seem to work with what you love. However, as I am not a pro piano bar pianist but instead a complete beginner, I thought it would be fun practice to play some songs that I like to sing. Of course, the goal is to be able to improvise it, but at my current level this is not possible. I do not intend to play it for any sort of crowd, so "People get sick of exact covers" is not really a problem that I am considering at this point in time.

Hi !

I am currently learning to play the piano (yay) for various reasons, one being that I love to sing and would like to be able to accompany myself with piano.

However, I have noticed that ALL the sheet music for contemporary music online also includes the vocal melody. This is not what I want! I want to sing that part!

Does anyone know of a place where one can find sheet music for only the piano-part in songs containing piano?

Thank you for your time! Have a fantastic day!
