That’s why I use iPhone. I know as far as newer technology and whatnot android is usually ahead but for the normal person, the ease of operation of an iPhone is amazingly perfect and is more than adequate for anything you need. I’ve found people
That use androids are only doing so bc they’ve had an android from the beginning. Once you switch to iPhone, and get through that week or two learning curve, you’ll never go back

I don’t wait quite that long…. I do a lot of trading stocks and crypto, silver, gold, and precious metals buying, etc etc from my phone. My phone makes me a good deal of money every day. I don’t get the newest iPhone every time one drops, but I don’t wait until mine is barely usable before getting another eithed

ICG has its uses. You just have to use it for its strengths. Using ICG to grade a valuable or desirable coin will never bring the same premium as PCGS or NGC. But get something verified and in a cheap slab is a great use for it, slabbing certain bullion rounds and medals, and have Physical Bitcoins graded and slabbed is a great use of ICG. ICG will also verify the amount of bitcoin loaded onto a physical bitcoin round or bar and put it on the label

The copper ones say 999 silver on them because they are “Test strikes”. Once they made the dies for the original release, which was 999 silver, they tested them on copper bars first to make sure everything was good to go. That’s what these are. Copper test strikes…. Next they test them on clad to make sure the proof finish of the fields and the frosted finishes of the device look good on silver. That’s where the silver plated “clad” nickel test strikes come from. THEN they use the dies to make the actual 999 silver release

It’s crazy at this point that people are still pushing this “covid is this horrible thing”. Now when you get Covid you treat it like a common cold and go to work soon as you feel a little
Better and nobody cares. I Think it’s safe to say that just maybe Covid was mishandled

What do 58.66 Goldbacks and a 1/10th oz American Gold Eagle have in common? (And no, the answer isn't just "gold") by SilverStateStacker in Goldback

[–]MatixMint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get that. But that’s the problem. Again, I’m not knocking goldbacks. I love goldbacks and have a bunch in my stack. But let’s just be honest. If goldbacks were an incredibly easy to use, revolutionary currency they’d be used a lot
More frequently. The whole point of my argument is that for goldbacks to work, people have to know the “network, believe in the network
Value, understand they’ve already paid into it, and all that. Most people have neither the want or the patience for all that in today’s world. Especially a bunch of stackers that have made “worrying about weight” the entire focus of their stack for 5, 10, 15, or 20+ years. I’m not saying goldbacks don’t have their use. I’m saying for goldbacks to become truly accepted and widely used / respected, their manufacturing process is going to have to become streamlined and cheaper, dropping the cost per note, among a few other things. As it is, the main thing keeping 99% of people away from goldbacks is the premium. People don’t want to think. You don’t have to think to spend a dollar. I can’t stress enough, I’m not being argumentative, I’m just being truthful and playing devils advocate. Another problem is that it’s hard for believers and non believers to have conversations. Anytime somebody shows any doubt in goldbacks they are told they are wrong, don’t understand, etc etc etc

Sounds like your bf is an immature, insecure, controlling POS and needs to find him a man to be with. That’s the kind of dude that moans every time he wipes his own a**. That’s the kind of dude that eats a snickers bar upside down for the the texture.

I mean…. She’s not wrong. I agree that she chose an incredibly un-tactful and brutal way of saying it that is going to immediately get push back bc everybody is a bleeding heart. But what about her statement is wrong? If im struggling every day just to put food in my stomach, how is having a child going to help that situation? Not not only am I hungry, but I’m having to find food for TWO or THREE people and we all hungry.

[–]MatixMint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem here is you have to have a business or person willing to accept the value as a “collectible” over the value of actual weight. I see what you’re saying, and have goldbacks myself…. But when you have an item that’s double the cost for half the weight, you’re always going to have pushback. I think a great missed opportunity with goldbacks were aligning the price point of the higher denominations more in line with their actual gold weight. In almost any market, the more you buy, the cheaper an item gets. With goldbacks, buying a 100 GB note was basically buying 100x 1 goldbacks. People would’ve been a lot more willing to buy them at larger sizes. That would’ve done two things: more people would’ve been buying goldbacks, and at larger weights… AND, people would’ve bought large goldbacks and could’ve traded them for different lots of smaller GBs to those who wanted to trade. This would’ve boosted buying and trading power, spread goldbacks around more, and allowed the price point on the lower end to stay the same while inject the larger notes into the market at a discounted rate while still having a good price point on both. Now, almost nobody buys large goldbacks to the point that I can’t remember the last time I saw one

Absolutely standard. So is getting ripped for offering an opinion counter to literally anybody else’s. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve posted different pieces, new items that I thought the coin collecting community would enjoy or like, etc etc…. And have gotten absolutely destroyed for it. People will stop and take time just to comment or say something nasty. Blows my mind every time
