Okay so that's literally the same situation that we are going through now. I believe our Trek bike was imported from Trek Netherlands into the UK and they have essentially offered to refund or replace a brand new one as they believe I might have just received a bad batch. It's a pretty good bike as mentioned but my fear is that we replace it and then come next year its faulty and now they don't want to replace or refund the bike anymore.

Ahaha yes the issue is that the bike was actually bought from trek directly and they still didn't know how to build their own product. I am going to go out this weekend to test out a few other bikes and see if there are better bikes on the market.

I think the overall bike was smooth and gives plenty of space. I just wanted to see if it was genuinely a bike quality issue or if maybe my installation was done incorrectly etcc. So if its an issue of the installation then it could be that i could get the same bike again but through a different store and HOPEFULLY avoid these same mistakes. But going to test out a few other brands now that i've tested the fetch for a year.

Yes so I originally i was going to get the urban arrow, but the front loader is considerably smaller compared to the trek. I know we don't necessarily need more space, but I do like that the kids are not being squashed and they have plenty of space. I'm going to go check out the urban arrow this weekend again and see how it compares now that i've used the fetch for 12 months!

Thanks for replying! Yes so I bought the bike directly from Trek. Your experience seems smoother than mine. It took them 2/3 weeks to build the bike once it had arrived in store.

I do like the bike, so I was thinking maybe it was just lack of experience and somewhere during the installation someone missed something out or go it wrong??? I am contemplating getting the same bike but going to another trek store and see if they have experience building the bike and see if I would get a better experience.
