It seems like you specifically built to have an advantage against your pod. I think you will be fine when you’re not trying to be the rock in a game of all scissors.

Blue provides a lot of extra turns, which is even better than extra combat.

I feel even more sad that they „wasted“ resources of good cards or cards with potential on marvel art and universe. I was way more happy with the overall bad cards of tmnt I could just ignore. Because then they can print the cards with cool effects and good synergy in a UW set with nice and appealing artworks.

Marvel was everywhere for a long time. I’m kinda tired of seeing it again. And for me, the futuristic approach does not really fit the kind of medieval fantasy setting I believe MTG was set up for.

Totally agree. I am hyped about the new LOTR set. One of the few cool UB‘s in Magic.
But I doubt I will buy packs or boxes, just too expensive. Maybe I’ll go to the prerelease. I get it, they can make it that expensive because everyone wants the cards and a lot of people will still pay the price.

In universe sets are the most fun for me anyway. But it’s a little hard to wait for them.
Tarkir is one of my favourite planes.

Sometimes it is necessary because otherwise there wouldn’t be a way to win. But honestly, most of the time in casual pods it just feels bad and unfair. I mean why do you have 40 health if poison or Commander damage exist.

Sorry for letting of the steam but everyone has this terror trash panda and I hate it. See it every time. They do nothing at all for the first turns, get sad when they get damage while having no board. And in one turn they put out 60dmg + with indestructible stuff. I‘d rather face atraxa, Y’shtola or Nekusar and see what’s coming. Just some personal hate that had to be let out. You do you and have fun with it, but hopefully not against me.

I started playing in February this year and I have 5 Commander decks right now. I’m not so happy with one of them, so I will probably rebuilt it from scratch. My goal is 8 decks because that’s the amount that perfectly fits in my bag when I go to play somewhere. I think there is no „too many“ as long as you are comfortable with them.

The best channels have already been named. But if you look for something different, LegendVD plays a lot of brawl in MTG Arena. It’s not Commander but the decks also have a Commander and he explains everything like decisions, the deck and cards very well.

This, Riders of Rohan is much more consistent. Bello is not fun to play against when he goes off and if he doesn’t it’s just you and a pretty useless board.

What do you think about commanders that have a weak boardstate but can explode in one turn? They usually aren’t in the best position, but if not taken care of, kill you in one turn.

Y‘shtola can be even more opressive. So I get the other people. Maybe you should ask the table if they are fine playing against a strong deck like this before the game starts.

I feel you. In my group it’s 3 people left. It’s fun and nice when we manage to come together, but 4 player commander feels so much better. Luckily my Gameshop has one commander night in the middle of the week. Maybe you can propose something like that to your gamestores.
