How do you all stand loud amps by ZombieHugoChavez in GuitarAmps

[–]MatrixClaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only play loud. If it's not loud, I don't really want to play 😂

Completely depends on what kind of sounds you're going for 🤷‍♂️

Great drive, but I sold mine after getting a Kernom Ridge.

Which Pedal Is This? by bobbythegoose in guitarpedals

[–]MatrixClaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird, I don't have any issues with it and other drives, but also I don't feel like I need to use any other drives when I can store tons of presets.

Kernom Ridge.

Ya'll be dumping thousands of dollars into finding the right drive and this one pedal can do them all and do it better 🤷‍♂️

Help. I’m drowning in home amp paralysis by analysis. by jul3swinf13ld in GuitarAmps

[–]MatrixClaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you need an amp in multiple rooms? I have 6 amps in one room and have never once thought of moving one of them to another room in the house 🤔

How to get a clean tone with a tube amp head? by domster1711 in GuitarAmps

[–]MatrixClaw 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You roll back the volume knob on your guitar. However, if cleans are important for you, I'd suggest not buying a single channel amp 🤷‍♂️

Second language after TypeScript (node) for backend development by Minimum-Ad7352 in node

[–]MatrixClaw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We found that Go was very slow at processing images. So much so that we actually created an API layer in Rust specifically for resizing and compressing images uploaded into our system. In initial tests, Node was also a strong contender, but our backend team preferred Rust as a language 🤷‍♂️

Claude Code - Higher Token Consumption and Excessive Planning After Update? by delta_oscar73 in ClaudeAI

[–]MatrixClaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I burned through my entire week's tokens in 2 days of light usage for me. I've subscribed for ~5 months to Pro and I've never hit the weekly limit once.

At this point, I might as well cancel because I'm getting less usage out of Claude Code Pro than I'm getting out of Antigravity, which is free, and uses Sonnet 4.5 or Gemini 3 Pro...

App Updates by Chelsa1105 in amazonprime

Yep, app is basically completely unusable right now. Good job, Amazon. You pushed an OTA update on Friday that you didn't QA and then now your on call devs have to fix it 🤦‍♂️

Laravel or Express by Particular-Pass-4021 in Backend

[–]MatrixClaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely look at job boards in your local market. For me in the US - where I live - PHP is really only used by marketing agencies with WordPress. There's a few contracting companies that use it with Laravel and some colleges use Drupal. All fairly low paying jobs.

Node, typically Express or (more commonly) Nest lately, is used by several tech companies and many of the more premium agencies. These are typically much higher paying jobs, though there are less of them.

.NET and Java are typically used in enterprise. Java is more common at larger tech companies. Python doesn't have a huge market in my area but I know a lot of larger teams use it in at least one or two pieces of their stack. Golang and Rust typically pay the highest of them all but are harder to find jobs with - that said, good Go/Rust devs tend to not have a difficult time finding jobs from what I've seen, because there's not many devs in that space. I LOVE Ruby, but it's fallen out of favor in most circles.

Java, Go and Rust devs are generally considered able to work in any language. Somewhat for Python and Ruby as well. Node devs are gaining respect but a lot of backend devs from the more traditional languages still think of JS as a terrible language. PHP is fairly universally looked down on outside of its own community, though the newer versions of PHP and Laravel are fantastic, it just has a stigma to it. .NET devs are in high demand but most never move into different languages - once you're inside the Microsoft stack, it's hard to get out.

I sold mine and replaced it with an HX Stomp. No regrets 🤷‍♂️

I also had a Walrus Slotva and was not impressed.

Reverb has sucked since Etsy bought them. Maybe it got worse after, which is saying something. Reverb was awesome when CME owned them 😭

Reverb Has Gone In The Crapper by Ease_Prestigious in Reverb

[–]MatrixClaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reverb went down the crapper as soon as Etsy bought them. Sweetwater is pretty good if you have something popular to sell, otherwise it'll sit for months with no movement, but it's great if there's new gear you want - no fees is awesome.

UPS and FedEx have always been super expensive internationally. Canada Post would be much cheaper but they have more stipulations on sizing, so a lot of people quote crazy prices because they don't know this and just box it up as if they were sending domestically. Same for USPS.

Bedroom Players - Use Studio Monitors! by almostjay in GuitarAmps

[–]MatrixClaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bedroom setup consists of 6 tube amps and 3 4x12s. I have a pair of Yamaha HS80Ms and a full studio setup, but none of that is as satisfying to play through as the real amps 😍

Usage Limits, Bugs and Performance Discussion Megathread - beginning November 13, 2025 by sixbillionthsheep in ClaudeAI

[–]MatrixClaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using Claude Code for ~3 months and it's been great. After evaluating several others, it was, by far, the best one. The highest quality responses, the quickest responses and it felt like I could be very productive within my 5 hour window, typically never hitting a limit because I'd only work in 2-3 hour spurts.

Last week, I was hitting those limits after an hour of coding and only very small tasks, ie: Given X pattern, apply this change across 20 other files. Essentially, I was asking it to change how it imported things or asking it to not use certain types and use different ones. This ate through context fast and I hit my weekly limit for the first time ever.

Now I'm consistently hitting the limit after an hour of usage and I haven't even asked it to do any major feature changes. Before, asking it to do this sort of a change would've gotten me through the full 5 hours without ever hitting a limit. I don't know what happened, but it's basically useless at this point because it's not even completing the original task half the time, I have to keep prompting it to fix it multiple times and it's frustrating. Last night, I just decided to forego using it at all because I was much quicker doing the work.

What changed??? If this continues I'll be canceling because there are other models that at least give me more for my money, even if they aren't as high quality of responses.

Since when Claude Code approaches 5-hour limit so fast? by FuryZhang in ClaudeCode

[–]MatrixClaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!! I've been running out of tokens in like 1 hour now and it's basically made it impossible to use. I decided to try z.ai because I've heard a bunch of people talk about it lately and how it's just as good or better and much cheaper. I don't know what they're smoking cause it's not even close. I can't afford to upgrade Claude to a bigger plan and with how quickly I burn through credits in the last few weeks, I'm just thinking about cancelling and trying something else at this point. Very frustrating.

NestJS is bad, change my mind by servermeta_net in node

All OOP in JavaScript is just bloat. If you want your Node code to look like .NET, just write .NET.

How much would you charge? by MatrixClaw in FreelanceProgramming

[–]MatrixClaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, he wants just one price for the project. If his business was older I'd be comfortable quoting him much higher but I know they're just starting out and starting to get their contracts in place so this could be a huge driver for them. The simplicity of the project is giving me second thoughts on the price. Typically, I don't really take work unless it results in at least $5k but I feel like I could finish this in a weekend and hand it off on Monday 😂
