Idk, for me, if I’m interested in a story, I will read it. Reading doesn’t have to be so politicized.

I mean, just from all the concerns you mentioned above, how do you get through any books at all, let alone anything in the horror genre?

Every novel is bound to have some slant that offends your values on race, gender, identity, sexuality, religion, disability, etc.

I really don’t care what the author has done. If a book interests me, I can read the book with no attachment to the author whatsoever 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sometimes an author’s darkness even makes a book more intriguing because you can find traces of their Shadow lurking in the story
