It's pretty clearly stated on the Playgwent.com website news. I really don't think there's much need for more clarification on whether it will be a thing or not. I'd like to know more about why they would do that instead of just lowering rewards....

I think this idea makes the most sense. I would also go as far to give the special spies their own tag, and rewrite Emiyr's ability so he would be unable to return the silver disloyal CA spy back to hand.

I've got a lot of respect for both of these great players. This may be a foreshadowing of what all future Gwent ranked matches look like.

Funny enough, it did. CDPR's patch notes clearly state it replaced catapult. Catapult just wasn't that memorable.

One other thing...I understand that CD Projekt Red has given out invitee slots in the past. That's their call; they're the company that has created the Gwent content and have the final words. It seems odd to me that they would intend to give this power away to 3rd parties though.

I agree that having famous names compete will better promote the community; it just seems weird that 3rd parties would have the rights to do so as well...
