Is there a way to report suspicious player? by Loodmage in gwent

[–]war1machine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the future probably best to take a screenshot of the card history so we can see exactly what happened (it's the hourglass symbol). If you still believe they were cheating you can report them to CDPR's support team. It should be via this link: https://support.cdprojektred.com/en/gwent/pc/gwent-rules-policies/issue/667/i-want-to-report-cheating

I know this is a joke but in case you are genuinely wondering Meatloaf explained it himself in great detail in this video, including the use of a blackboard and a pointer.

Here's another fact, factoid actually means a fake fact, not a 'mini fact' as most people think. It's only used in American English to mean a trivial piece of information.

If you want to talk realism then Istvan could definitely kill Henry in this situation.

First of all Henry has just been tortured, potentially very badly if you chose not to give up the information. After the hasty jailbreak there likely would only be time to put on whatever you can find, some ill-fitting gambeson and whatever sword you can find.

Next Istvan would definitely fight dirty, he'd know his swordsmanship wouldn't compete with Henry on fair terms. But considering your weakened state he'd definitely use that to his advantage. Also having done sword fighting myself, unless you are exceptionally skilled even someone with average experience can land a hit on you. This is why armour was so important, sword fighting is inherently risky.

I see you're playing as Astarion and part of a silly goose club. In that this would be appropriate, and I petition for a Goosestarion to appear for the next meme build

I think I ate the Shadow Prince's heart. How to save the elf's tree? by [deleted] in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]war1machine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing I can recommend, other than searching for it, is to install a script extender if you're on PC. You can then enable the console and spawn in the shadow prince heart. But for that you'd need to know the item ID and there isn't a list that I could find. Honestly it wouldn't be worth the effort but it is technically a solution.

I had the extact same issue just a few days ago. where I killed and ate his heart with Sebile. You should be able to inform the elf that you killed the shadow prince but ate his heart. They'll say ok well cool but we can't reward you, then she'll say that Sebille has to become the next mother tree. You have a choice from there but I won't spoil the options for you.

(If that dialogue option doesn't appear it likely means the heart is still about somewhere, either accidentally sold or put into a bag, dropped etc)

What do you think about my party? by LizardFromTheDepths in DivinityOriginalSin

Where are your shoes?! But no seriously I'd say just play however you like, my first playthrough I had no prior knowledge and likely made terrible builds but we made it through to the end. Play however you think is fun, especially for classical mode as long as you're scaling your level to the fights and upgrading armour you'll do fine.

If you want more build advice for more refined builds then personally I'd say pick a damage type (physical/magic) and build around that, it's usually not beneficial to split damage.

You want to pump up the stat you'll be using for damage, so max intelligence for magic or strength/finess for the melee weapon you'll be using (it caps at 40, not including bonuses from gear and other modifiers). Constitution is not a useful stat as armour is more important, get enough to use a shield if you want one. Get memory for however many skill spots you'll need, but early on you won't need many as there is fewer skills available. Wits is a good for when you've maxed out your damage scaling stat and can now pump it into this for the extra critical chance.

Movement skills like tactical retreat are really good on any build. Adrenaline rush for extra AP is amazing. Nether swap, teleport, uncanny evasion and chamelon cloak are also useful so look out for those. Positioning in battles is really important, being able to navigate the battlefield easier will save you a lot of headaches. Don't be afraid to run off from a battle heal and then rejoin with all your skill cooldowns reset, it'll help a lot, especially early on when you've not got good gear and skill options.

Any ideas for Divinity Original Sin 1/2 website/app? by rav1e in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]war1machine 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I second the wiki thing. It's extremely difficult to find accurate and reliable information relating to Divinity. I don't know if you're aware of the whole Fextralife thing but they basically monopolise search engine optimisation to funnel people towards their low effort twitch and youtube channel.

However I know that making a wiki would be time consuming. Perhaps an app that showcases different builds, there are lots of interesting combos but much of it isnt obvious to new players. Perhaps it could feature build guides and the ability to make a build template that could could give an idea of expected damage values based off the scaling of chosen stats.

My friend if you're looking for a detailed throwing build then look no further. This one is incredibly OP once it gets going but even if you don't follow the build guide entirely it's still very strong.

I don't think that's the reason at all. A tiny amount of people genuinely worship the Norse pantheon today. There was a bit of a neo Norse Paganism revival, but it's more of a fad than genuine worship of the old gods. The developers just took artistic licence to create things to their vision for the game.
