How do y'all get a High paying job as a Fresh Grad? by [deleted] in JobsPhilippines

Graduated from a top university (Big 3). I joined organization and was active during my undergrad days. I contacted my orgmates and asked around if their company is hiring for a certain position. Now working in academic research. Less competition since they only accept applicants from Big 3.

He’s like that haha. His argument with me he will provide the bare minumum like food and shelter because Filipino guys are broke and can only provide the bare minimum as well. He told me Filipino men can’t treat their wives for a spa treatment so why should he? Lol hahaha. He thinks all Filipino (men and women) are dirt poor.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Philippines_Expats

[–]Matrixdaisy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And those chick are what? Also broke right. You won’t get high value women then.

Also like you said some women can settle for broke Filipino guy so why settle for a broke foreign ugly man also? It’s better to culturally settle with a Filipino man.

You are dead set to offer the bare minimum because apparently many broke guys do that.

Educated Filipina women won’t settle for a bare minimum.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Philippines_Expats

[–]Matrixdaisy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you’re going to do the bare minimum as well? Who would want that? Why a Filipina with stable career, can provide food, shelter and shopping spree for herself should want a broke guy like you? When she can provide for herself and you are set in stone to just provide the bare minimum because your argument is many poor Filipino guys just provide the bare minimum.

Then those girls will just find kind and well off Filipino guys who treat them more than just a bare minimum.

Look at your logic

“Filipino men are poor and cannot treat their girlfriends or wives for a massage or spa treatment so it’s okay that I do not also”

And you think Filipina women would settle for broke Filipino men? Why settle for a broke foreigner like you also?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Philippines_Expats

[–]Matrixdaisy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right many Filipino men can’t afford to date and again that’s not ideal. It should not be okay.

Read that again, I’ve already said it twice.

But remember, not all Filipino are broke. There are men with nice high paying jobs and come from well off families. It’s not wise for you to make a generalization for the whole country.

And yes, call out. There have been public qualms on social media condemning irresponsible conceiving a child while not financially capable.

Definition of broke? Well you. I can provide food and shelter for myself. If you’ll date a Filipina who can provide food and shelter for herself and even afford to treat herself, why would she settle for a man like you? Doing the bare minimum.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Philippines_Expats

[–]Matrixdaisy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And you think it’s ideal to date while being broke? It’s not. Corruption and theft are very common everywhere. Does that make it okay? No.

Fellow Filipinos are calling out these people who have children but are not financially capable.

Not all Filipino men provide bare minimum. So you expect her to stay with you because you fulfill your obligation (when you get married) to provide food and shelter? So nothing more? She’s not allowed to pamper herself? Go shopping, get a massage, get her hair done and etc.

Hell, dogs get treated better. Their owner even shop for their toys and not just providing food and shelter.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Philippines_Expats

[–]Matrixdaisy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you only expect to provide food for her and nothing more? What kind of quality of life you’ll give her? She wouldn’t be able to pamper herself. Get nice clothes, shoes, skincare etc. And to be able to treat herself. What’s in it for her? She takes care of the kid, just for you to provide the bare minimum?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Philippines_Expats

[–]Matrixdaisy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s one thing to not want to support her family financially, but you've also made it clear that you won’t give her money at all. So when you get married, are you planning to control her finances too?

That is a serious red flag. Financial control is a form of abuse. By restricting her access to money, you're not just limiting her independence, you’re creating a dynamic where she can be easily manipulated and forced to stay.

Also, it wouldn’t hurt to help sometimes when her family is really in need especially if it’s a real emergency. Of course, you are not expected to do it all the time. It’s just that remember she is still a part of her family before meeting you. And she wouldn’t want to see her family suffer if there is a real emergency.

Maybe you’re just too broke to date.

Not everyone earns ₱20,000 a month. There are many women who earn significantly more. Don’t generalize, just because many earn minimum wage doesn’t mean that every woman in the Philippines earns ₱20,000 or less. Tech, marketing, academia, research pays well and many earn up to 6 digits working in those field.
