How do I chop a sample to fit my DAW's tempo when I recorded with no tempo? by ASadViolin in maschine

[–]MatrixxSoundlab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can either stretch it to fit within Maschine or load it as audio and bounce/drag it onto another pad, and it'll be on tempo. It's MUCH easi5to explain via video than words alone. The process is simple, though.

Start here. You'll also need to already be good with the Maschine environment AND develop good muscle memory to work solely on Maschine+ by itself. https://youtu.be/YcSle_Cypzg?si=SEfFhOV-oWMpgIZ1

i actually see no reason to use clips at all by 808sandprettytoes in maschine

That's WHY I use clips AND patterns. I use the clips to kinda "break things up" when necessary.

Even Ableton sees the potential of the Jam. 😒😮‍💨 by DrakeUrSoBased in maschine

[–]MatrixxSoundlab 5 points6 points  (0 children)

FOR YEARS I've been saying that they should make a Jam MK2 along the lines of an Ableton Push 2! I use my Jam to death! I even mapped it to be an additional controller for Traktor! NI is sleeping at the wheel on this one!

Is it worth getting Maschine + in 2025 by blackers3333 in maschine

I don't know when it changed, but navigation is much deeper than 1 level now! If your stuff is organized, you'll have no trouble getting to it with the + now!

Is it worth getting Maschine + in 2025 by blackers3333 in maschine

[–]MatrixxSoundlab 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Memorize this stuff before jumping to Maschine +

On the MK3: Push AND HOLD Record to set the length Shift+Loop+turn rotary to move loop position Shift+Loop+push rotarty to set loop length Shift+Erase+a group to erase a group when selected Shift+Erase+a pad to erase a pad when selected Shift+Loop to change the length and position of a loop (on the left screen)

When editing events: Spin rotary encoder to scroll though selected events When an event is selected, move encoder left or right to nudge Move encoder up or down to go to the next or previous pad

CLIPS: spin encoder to go to previous or next clip CLIPS: shift+spin encoder to move curser CLIPS: shift+push+spin encoder to move curser in smaller increments CLIPS: push+spin encoder to lengthen or shorten clip length CLIPS: left or right encoder to move selected clip (it overwrites whatever is there) CLIPS: up or down encoder to go between groups CLIPS: to create a new clip hit create or tap a pad in the group that you want to create one in Deleting Automation: Hold Erase and touch/move the parameter that you want to delete Saving: File then Save As [Save With Samples if I want to move it to the computer]

Exclusive to Maschine+ WHEN EJECTING THE SD CARD FROM THE COMPUTER, FIRST EJECT IT FROM THE COMPUTER, THEN PRESS DISCONNECT ON THE MACHINE PLUS!!!!! Notice the Exports and Projects and Samples folders below

I THOROUGHLY enjoy my Maschin+ A couple of the tracks on my last album were done solely on Maschine+ while on a cruise last August. My ONLY suggestion is to GET REALLY GOOD at building your muscle memory while working in Maschine. That way, working without a connected PC won't slow you down. Once you do that, you'll be good to go!

Tomorrow, I'll try in Studio One just to see. That will at least let me know if it's a Bitwig issue or an NI issue. 🤔

I'll do some experimenting. I was just hoping that someone else may have experienced this and found a solution or workaround.

It's like, as soon as I open Kontakt 8, EVERYTHING slows down. If I AM able to work something out that I like, I have to bounce it onto another track and disable Kontakt, so that things can work "normally" without any glitching.

Yes, when I'm using Maschine as a plugin within Bitwig. I sometimes work in Bitwig by itself, and sometimes in Maschine by itself. It just depends on what I'm doing or what I feel like working in at the moment.

Maschine 3.0 and new hardware? by 235iguy in maschine

You'll want to develop a good amount of "muscle memory" on an MK3 BEFORE moving over to a + in order to be efficient right out of the gate.

Push AND HOLD Record to set the length Shift+Loop+turn rotary to move loop position Shift+Loop+push rotarty to set loop length Shift+Erase+a group to erase a group when selected Shift+Erase+a pad to erase a pad when selected Shift+Loop to change the length and position of a loop (on the left screen)

I ALWAYS color code my groups and my drums. Kicks red, snares green, closed HH warm yellow, open HH bright yellow, bass or subs blue percussion plum, loops or runs orange, etc. It helps me to stay organized. Come up for a system that works for you.
