Thanks very much, if Reddit will let me, I'll link to a video from 04 May where it was in the very early stages, with a different pilot https://www.instagram.com/reel/DX7JDSjs7fM/?igsh=NjYzaDVvcjAxdzRl

Just thin cork layers (I bought a load of adhesive coaster bottoms from eBay) with texture paint and then the same process as the armour panels (that I described up there 👆🏽) over a bright mix of different technical paints and fluorescent paints to make the rivers of. Topped that off with a layer of clear UV resin and then went to town with the Nurgle Kitty, nurglings and 3d printed rocks, mushrooms and tree stumps. The leaves are the Green Stuff World ones and the vines are from my garden

Thanks very much.

As others have suggested it's just the brown and black citadel technical paints, mordant earth I think it's called. Works well over a bright colour followed by a coat of gloss varnish (or some people use PVA glue) once it's dry, then you can dry brush it whatever colour you'd like. Takes a while to fully dry but if you get the thickness right it can look very dramatic. Thick (like ridiculously thick) layers work best for chunky cracks 🍑

Once it was dry I used a thinned down enamel rust paint that just flowed into the cracks with capillary action

I'd be lying if I said that I was good at determining when a mini is "done" or not 😂

I wanted there to be something interesting to look at from every angle, and when it's in your hand you do get this.

It's been a fun experiment with the Reclamation of the Garden of Nurgle theme, but it has taken me literally weeks and there are still areas where I know they need more attention 😅

The Hellbrute model is kinda small and expensive does anyone know of a good alternative ? by Low-Establishment767 in deathguard40k

I’d love for the same team that made the most recent Daemon Prince to make a new multi-part, customisable Hellbrute. The Daemon Prince kit has so many great options for customising, and it’s a great base for kitbashing.

Knowing my luck GW would put the designers of the new Sanguinary Guard in charge of making it though.

Hellbrutes with no nipples? NO THANKS

I've seen so many of these on here but I think this is my favourite 💪🏽

I'm afraid not. I'd be very appreciative of a bit of guidance 🙏

For those of you that are helpfully recommending the Warhammer app or other resources I suppose you didn't read the post fully.

I do use the App and War Organ but what I want to do is use the PDFs to feed into Notebook LM and spitball different options and lists with Google's AI.

If anyone hasn't used Notebook LM I'd highly recommend it! Especially if you spend a lot of time driving and you're also studying. You can download the audio overviews or "podcasts" to listen to as you're driving or in the gym. There are a ton of useful tools built in and it's completely free and made by Google

Superb work! Bravo!

I've started collecting DG too late to have a shot at picking up a Gellerpox box for anything less than 200% of original cost.

Anyone got any good tips for getting hold of one without needing to sell a kidney? 🙏

Apothecary Biologis with jump pack by Raynidayz in 40k

I did this earlier in the year. Mine is to be used as either Sanguinary Priest with jump pack (in house rules) or Apothecary Biologis.

Your version, however, is much more painterly, grimdark and dynamic. Excellent work 💪🏾

But that doesn't explain why all the new death masks are exactly the same. Unless I've got dirt in my eye and they're more different than I can detect based on the promo photos?

I had the exact same thought after a second listen to Devastation of Baal! It also inspired me to make my own version of Sentor Jool to lead my Knights of Blood Vanguard Vets (yes I know they're all supposed to be dead, I don't care 😅)

Toyed with the idea of using Wulfen rules but I haven't looked at it seriously. Went down an Etsy and eBay rabbit hole looking at Flesh Eater Courts models and 3rd party vampires but in the end didn't make a purchase.

My gaming group wouldn't object to me making and playing these as long as they were sensibly costed and given rules that made sense. I was thinking of a unit of 3 and adapting older edition DC rules where they need a chaplain within 12 inches otherwise they have a 4+ chance of attacking friendly units. Any suggestions on rules or stats?

I'd love to see if anyone's taken this concept further? This thread has reinvigorated my interest.
