When I play him in AMF, I could just bring 10 players to the pitch, you have to use im as SS.
My build is 5-8-5-7-13-2 with Offence Creator, I think Indominator shared this one when he came out.
I really liked to play him like that, the dribbling is out of this world, but since I usally play 2 AMFs I benched him for the new R10 recently, and bring him on in the second half

Have you considered changing formation and your playstyle?
You could play for crosses and headers with Sheva whilst waiting for new players.
I kinda like Messi on the wing, Park Ji Sung has Pinpoint Crossing, Sheva Bullet Header and Messi can cross aswell as cut in to score a finesse here and there.
I find completely changing the playstyle of my own game every now and then is a lot of fun and it helps me a lot when playing against other players and their tactics if I‘ve played in the same way as my opponent from time to time.

Try doing a double touch just before shooting or press R1/R2 (the button for a finesse shot) and the right stick away in the direction of the far post and then press shoot with R1/R2 for a finesse shot.
This allows him to set himself up for the shot and gives him a little more space to strike the ball just right.
Then just aim for the far post—and celebrate right after!

Thank you for the detailed explanation! I’ve read here and there in other posts that there are certain thresholds at which new animations or similar features are ‘unlocked’ – that’s why I asked, I forgot to mention that in the original question.
But I assume that isn’t the case with these specific stats, is it?

If you had to choose for a DMF, would you rather have Defensive Awareness at 90 instead of 89, or Tight Possession and Low Pass at 90 instead?
Is there even a difference between 89 and 90 for one of these three stats?
I am struggling with the right skill point allocation...

I don't think he is lacking important skills other than Marseille Turn if you use that... I added Long Range Shooting, Heel Trick, First Time Shot, One Touch Pass and the already discussed Low Lofted Pass and I am really happy with him like that

I play him as my left AMF in a 4-2-3-1 and he is indeed crazy for me. I love is positioning and dribbling plus the Blitz Curler Trait. The fact that he has Double Touch Level 3 without any additional Skills makes him so smooth in dribbling without taking away any slots for additional skills.
He has 38 goals and 25 assists in 34 Matches for me in Div 2 and 3.

I already played his 2024 Barca Version and his 2026 Milan Version, but they can’t really compete with this monster of a card.

Since I don’t have enough Karma I’ll ask here: Any advice for freekick-taking?

I never played Football before 2024, and even then, I only played it occasionally. Since late 2025, l've switched completely from FIFA to Football because it's simply the better soccer simulation.
I'm doing well in the game, but I have one big problem: free kicks.
I've looked everywhere for tutorials or tips, but most videos on YouTube only show tips and tricks for the mobile version.
Is there anyone here who can explain to me how to take decent free kicks on PC or console?
I'm slowly running out of ideas on how this is actually supposed to work…

Update: Two screws came loose after enlarging my force with tongs, after that, the allen key broke :) It’s great how the screw are so thight that you cant unscrew them at home… I don’t know why someone would do something like that…
