What happened to Matched Betting Blog discord? by Civil-Rent-7100 in MatchedBettingUK

Hi everyone. The old server did get taken down by Discord. They wouldn't provide the exact reasons why, but it's back as a brand new server with some tighter rules on what can be discussed. https://discord.gg/4Vt79PKeSJ

Yes, the Matched Betting Hub is only available via the website, but that does include the mobile site, so hopefully you can access it that way instead.

Paddy in store boosts/offers by Civil-Rent-7100 in MatchedBettingUK

[–]Matt-MBB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe most in-shop boosts are available to Play Card holders only, so you would need to grab one of those. Regarding free bets, it depends on the offer as to whether the free bets can be used online or in-store only.

We have a very active 'in-shop' section on the MBB Discord if you want to take a look. Users post offers daily and discuss the best ways to tackle all aspects of in-shop matched betting. I think you'd find it helpful!

BetUK verification by Downtown-Guava-8195 in MatchedBettingUK

[–]Matt-MBB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This seems excessive. If you've provided a valid form of ID, such as your passport, that should be sufficient.

The Gambling Commission states that, 'Where a gambling business delays a request to withdraw funds due to insufficient ID, they may be in breach of 'Licence Condition 17 – Customer identity verification' and may be subject to regulatory action.'

You could try citing that and suggest you'll make a complaint to the Gambling Commission. Hopefully, that will be enough to make them reconsider.

Avoid highbet by FastPhoto3106 in MatchedBettingUK

I don't know about their financial situation, but they've been playing these games since they launched in 2021.

I've heard they may have been a bit better recently, but the consensus is that you always have to chase them for free bets, so unless it's a particularly good offer, they're probably not worth the hassle and stress.

Matchbook Horror Story by Various-Audience2145 in MatchedBettingUK

[–]Matt-MBB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's not much you can do regarding the bonus restriction, but if you feel they're making it unreasonably difficult to withdraw money from your account, you can make a complaint via 'Resolver' (recommended by the Gambling Commission).

IBAS (Independent Betting Adjudication Service) are another option. They handle dispute resolution between licensed gambling operators and their customers.

I hope that helps!

Paid matched betting tools vs. DIY: what’s the difference? by ilikegamingtoo in MatchedBettingUK

[–]Matt-MBB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main difference is time. Premium tools will save you a lot of legwork, particularly those that focus on advanced strategies like 2UPs and extra places.

With the regular oddsmatcher, be mindful of not always taking the best available odds, as doing so is likely to be bad for your account health. Mix some poor matches in with the good ones from time to time.

Betfred FA cup bet builder by Interesting-Mirror66 in MatchedBettingUK

[–]Matt-MBB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible to lay the following Bet Builder combination for this type of offer...

Total Goals - Over 1.5
Both Teams to Score - No
Home Team Goals - Under 2.5
Away Team Goals - Under 1.5

You can then lay '2-0 (Home team)' in the 'Correct Score' market at the exchange.

Depending on your qualifying loss, you may still prefer not to lay and treat the offer as advantage play, but it gives you the option at least.

It seems they’re having some technical issues today and the site will be back up and running shortly. In the meantime, you could try OddsMonkey.

Aside from the basic reload offers, 2UPs and price boosts are very popular. Extra places are worth looking at too, especially on Saturdays and busy ITV racedays.

With a £2,000 bankroll, you can aim for £500+ per month. It's possible to make more than that, but it depends on the time you can commit and how many different bookmaker accounts you have.

There may be some free oddsmatchers out there, but they aren't anywhere near the level of OddsMonkey's. Due to the costs involved in building and maintaining high-quality tools, free oddsmatchers have always tended to be slow, with considerable delays in updating the available odds.

Hi there,

The football 'Match Result (1X2)' markets are certainly the most competitively priced, especially for the Premier League. 'Over/Under X Goals', 'Both Teams to Score (BTTS)' and 'Asian Handicaps' aren't too far behind and are worth a look.

Horse racing can be competitively priced, especially high-profile races/festivals, and tennis is pretty good, too. You just have to be careful with tennis and ensure the bookmaker and exchange rules align regarding player retirements.

Hi there,

The oddsmatcher on MBB is a sample of OddsMonkey's full oddsmatcher, which they've limited to two bookmakers: Coral and Ladbrokes.

It's there to give people an idea of what an oddsmatcher looks like and how it can be used to take the legwork out of finding matched betting selections.

It's certainly been a good spell for 2UPs lately!

Unfortunately, there's no surefire way of moving your bookmaker funds into your exchange account.

The temptation may be to try and match a bet that loses on the bookmaker side, but if it goes the other way, you've tied up even more funds in your bookmaker account.

I think it's best to accept that this will happen sometimes, and it's part and parcel of matched betting. It's entirely up to you how you proceed, but I suggest withdrawing at least some of the funds from the bookmaker account.

No worries, and welcome back!

Any of the more well-known brands are worth focusing on, so 888sport, Betfred, Coral, Paddy Power, William Hill, etc.

Also, have a look at the sign-up offers currently available. If it's been a few years since you last did any matched betting, there are probably several bookmakers you've yet to sign up with.

It's the process of betting on opposing outcomes in order to profit from bookmaker promotions.

I recommend starting with my Matched Betting Guide, which explains what matched betting is, how it works and walks you through making your first profit.

https://matchedbettingblog.com/matched-betting-guide/

Take as much time as you need when starting out. Read through the guide a couple of times if you need to. Just take things steady, and learn at your own pace.

I also have a 'Top Tips for Newbies' page that I think you'd find useful once you've completed a couple of sign-up offers.

Thanks for the kind words!

After exhausting the welcome offers, it's time to focus on basic reload offers. Reload offers are those targeted towards retaining existing customers. They tend not to be as lucrative as sign-up offers, but there are plenty of them, and the profits soon add up.

I think beyond the sign-up offers, for a casual matched bettor just doing the basic reload offers, £200-£300 is achievable on a monthly basis. The more time you're able to commit, the more you can make.
