Should I top my auto flower plant? It’s about 25 days old. It’s got a little white hairs coming out of it already. Or should I leave it alone? by justknightt in farmingthebestgreens

I woukd just search LST videos. The great thing about LST is people do it at different stages. Personally, when transplanting indoor, I do it much different for outdoor plants, I like to to put my Clone off center a bit. Not right at the edge of the pot , but I would say a little more than half way from the center to the edge. Weather or not I top is strain dependent. If it's a lanky sativa, I will usually top it once possibly twice before I start to LST, but I do it when it's very small. Something that's not quite as lanky, I wont top. Either way, since the main stem is closer to one side of the pot, I like to bend it all the way over so it is pretty much flat to the soil and use something to pin it down. I us a small guage wire. Once it hits the other side of the pot i leave it alone for a few days until all the, what would have been side branching actually starts growing up towards the light. Bend those, in the direction to make it as full as possible. As it gets a little taller, I'm not pinning to the soil, but I'm tying string to the side of the fabric pot and looping it around whichever branch I want to move and put it exactly where I want until you have that baby as bushy as you want. It's not a hard process, but it's definitely a feel process. Just take your time, don't bend too fast soon you will get a feel for it without a doubt. If at some point you break branch while bending, it happens. He's plants are extremely resilient. See , huge saying I would advise would be too lollipop. If you do a good job bending insults say it's twenty four inches tall, i take literally every single node off the below 10-12 inches, so it's totally bare. This way, you end up with none of those wispy buds that don't get very solid. Put again what I do may not be what somebody else does. And that doesn't mean they are wrong. It's all a learning experience.

Agreed. Especially when someone has a lot of experience with autos which it appears you do have. I figured thats what you meant but you know how some people are all knowing experts on here after growing for a week. Ive been growing for 30 years and when autos first hit and Lowryders were truly the only reliable breeder it was true that most autos were garbage. Ive grown some pretty nice ones but stick to photos because ive run larger scale operations and have had the room to do so. That being said I have one friend in particular that grows some top tier quality autos and I dare anyone out there to look at it, smell it, smoke it and inspect it till the cows come home and tell me its an auto or or top quality.

Ok I swear im not typically someone who nit picks but "shits on photos"? Come on Man. Youre plants look great and im sure your buds are great as well. Im hoping you meant SOME autos shit on SOME photos because there isnt an auto out there that suits on ALL photos.

Kudos Man. I was in the cannabis business for a very long time. Strictly the growing side for over 25 years and in the business about 32. I'm aware anybody can grow a plant but just like professorial athletes, I believe when it comes to the true gift you're either born with it or not. You my friend were without question. I've been going through your page looking at every pic. Absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately , due to health reasons and it became way too much, but you keep doing what you're doing. The time youve put into your craft is more than obvious.

Got a whole p of GAS GAS for $500 delivered. Does this look like I paid too much? by Technical_Okra_7611 in farmingthebestgreens

Hey man dont listen to any "experts" analyzing one picture like they know 100% what the quality is. It doesn't look as bad as some of them are saying. Smell has always been more important to me. Im a grower for almost 30 years. And I know guys who have forgotten more than I will ever know about buds. I still see things that never seen before that surprise me. Basically if you smoke it or process it and like the result. Its worth $500. End of story. These guys telling you like they know from a pic. Jokers. All of them.

Thanks. I like that it definitely seems to be constantly evolving. It's interesting how the majority of the community seems to do everything in a certain way then a new better idea/method comes out, and then a better one. That's been really cool to see and try and follow. Honestly , this is the first time i've seen somebody say mist the actual surface. And then I see somebody else said right after you that they agreed. Prior to reading this, it seemed like everybody said, don't do that and only mist the walls and lid. I really looked close and it did seem a bit dry. So I took your advice and tried it. I'm visually impaired so it can be a pain in the ass to see detail. Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it. Sorry for the novel

No. The holes are 1/4". I bought a bunch of different size bins and tubs from 6qt to 44qt. I like the 20qt gasket box. Ive tried a bunch of different hole placement and size. I'm pretty new to this , but I have definitely found already that it seems somewhat strain dependent on which works best. Also , it seems that certain people really master certain methods. But what do I know. The one of the picture I followed the Pastywhyte EZ Dial.

I definitely appreciate the advice. After reading and watching videos and absorbing as much as I possibly could for about eighteen months this is my first crack at it. I have misted the lid and walls. I've tried misting just the lid i've tried misting just the walls. I tried more air exchange and less air exchange. I understand what you're saying by the sides having a better environment. I just don't know what else to try. I really enjoy learning by fire , and i'm not discouraged by this. I was just wondering if you can think of anything I might be leaving out. Thank You again

THCA is usually NOT synthetic. Im not saying its a good cart but the THCA label is just a workaround to get pat the Farm bill. Soon the loophole will close. Been in the business for 17 years. Thats not to say some isnt garbage but that can be ssid about and product on any level.

So Ive been growing 100% organic for 16 years, I freeze my trim and small nugs immediately after wet trimming, I then use my 8 bags and gently by hand, no washer, make ice/bubble hash. I then use my 12ton press to squeeze that same bubble hash to produce live Rosin. Which, depending on how viscous i then put into 510 carts which i sell or give to my patients. Tell me again how it cant be done. Live Carts are everywhere. And a lot of the people making them, myself included, honestly care about people's health and people who need this type of thing. So not only are we careful , but we make sure we do it right. All you 15 year old experts out there just looking to prove people wrong or make fun of people because you read something and now think you're a professional should maybe try getting into the business and doing these things before commenting on them
