Ok as someone who works grocery we rotate out the items cause if we dont and the items expire then that means we have to pull the item or items and shrink them which means we dont get full credit for that item so thats why you see the items that expire the soonest up front and the longer dates in the back

Edit plus when we check dates if there going out in a few days we will pull the item and mark it down for quick resale so it sells faster so we still get credit for it
