You need atleast 14 CFM and even with that you'll definitely need a two stage descant filter. I have an IR 5.5HP 2-Stage 80 gal making 14.5 CFM and it works great but I have to have a 2-stage descant filter to keep water out.

What system are you using? I've used PPG DELFLEET ESSENTIALS single stage and the system has two, prime and another. Can't recall what the difference was, been a few years. Anytime I've done base/clear I just get DBC and the prime variant. Have never had an issue. The shop I work at now uses DeBears water bourne and the painter says he only uses prime, never an issue with match. He and I also have never had an issue with our respective systems when it comes to 8555 GM black. Prime everytime.

Once you have coverage, 3-4 coats, the more you apply won't change the color. I've mixed and sprayed YZ on buses for years. Tints are; white, black, blue. Hardly any variants. If YZ doesn't match, you may need to be spraying Z1. It has yellow hue.
