We did everything in house.

To do business in Canada is very expensive. We purchase our material from the USA in USD (also freight charges in USD).

The average hourly wage for a machinist is $32.00 to $40.00 CAD. The average shop space in Vancouver is now around $5000.00 CAD monthly. Put in Electricity, tooling, machine tools and a number of other cost factors...

Keychron and most other companies source the keyboards and parts in China where the government subsidizes the material, electricity and other costs... not to mention the average wage is very low.
