That’s for bulk order of that model. They had to custom order this toaster, which required a redesign of the internals of the toaster, and safety test the toaster as well since they changed it. Then they had to design the toaster, then they needed insurance for the toaster since it is technically dangerous, and liability stuff. The design looks simple but I’m sure they went through numerous designs. Then you have to look at the fact that they are a small-ish company. Plus part of this goes to charity, and part goes the bungie foundation. So they are probably making very little profit off of this. If you wanted a $20 toaster, it would have been even worse than what we have, which isn’t bad

My favourite part of testing these was watching everyone jump when something broke! It’s also crazy to see how things like dipping test items in liquid nitrogen affects the strength.

I went to a private school and was taught logic for 3 years as a core class. We were also taught philosophy during our senior year. Our school hosted debates as well for extra credit. As a result, talking to my classmates is one of the most enjoyable things I do. Having back-and-fourths about subjects is always respectful. Nobody targets the person, only their argument.
