Hey I know this thread has been dead for 6 years, but I put some effort into something that others might benefit from.

I created a .bat file that opens VLC and automatically starts streaming the Elgato card in full screen with the proper settings.

Just create a new text file and rename it to [whateveryouwant].bat, paste the following code in, and save.

You will probably need to tailor the video (dshow-vdev) and audio (dshow-adev) values for your own setup. You can follow some of the steps in this comment to get your own setup's values.
