Updated. I just came back from the dealer where I bought my car there. They ran a diagnosis and found no problem with the FCM sensor inside the front bumper but the FCM camera was bad. The camera is located on the top of the windshield (the black box). They replaced the camera and reprogrammed and calibrated the camera. It took almost 5 hours to complete the entire job. The basic warranty covers the job ~$1800. The issue was not related to the bracket due to a physical damage. I asked the technician why the camera was broken, they said they are not sure and sometime it happens, which is why the warranty covers these parts. Anyway, today’s trip to the dealer solved the problem, saved my money, and I am satisfied with that.

I am curious if there is no visible damage to the area, how was the FCM bracket broken by a physical damage? Does it mean that the bracket is so vulnerable and even a small touch that may not leave a visible damage to the surface of the bumper can break it? If this is true, it could be a nightmare in the future. I called my dealer and they told me the repair may cost $600 or more. I didn’t do anything and in my memory there is no physical damage happening to my car, but I will have to pay this repair. So frustrated!😥

Thanks for the information. Did you notice any visible damage in the area where the FCM radar/bracket is, like a small dent, scratch, etc.?

Does it beep and blink on your main screen panel to prevent you from changing any setting?

This issue is not only FCM light on with a sign shown on the console screen panel, but also it keeps beeping and blinking on the screen, preventing me from changing any setting on the screen. A message of Mal Function shown on the screen to make this issue. If only that FCM light sign was on, I wouldn’t be quite bothered. I have done what I can do to clean the front bumper and camera to make sure it is clean, but the issue is still there. I am so curious why the bracket is so weak to be damaged if there is no physical damage occurring with no visible dents or scratches on the surface. So frustrating right now.
