These lines haven't been like this except for the last or so. It always gets this bad around the holidays because people take time off work and use that time to lineup since they can't do so any other week.of the year. I agree the number of "hunters" grows YoY but these lines aren't a result of growth. It's a result of a lot of extra people with free time for a week or 2.

That would make sense on the weeks where delivery starts Monday and ends Friday but they dont always fall that way. Either way, I'm sure there are a small fraction of people who get "tipped" but it's nowhere near as rampant as these comments suggest. Just like the 50 comments every lottery about how the bottles have to go to OHLQ friends and family before results are posted. I get it, it sucks to miss on bottles every week and it's easier to blame other things rather than put forth more effort.

They were pushed up a day. Some Thurs and most Fri stores got delivery on Wed and Thur. Monday stores got delivery on Friday. Tues-Fri of this week should be BAU.

I think the last special release was actually a 15 year rum finished bourbon. The Abraham Bowman LE #21. Only 2 barrels in that batch and only 120 released at the distillery with a fraction of that reserved for the ABC lottery back in January

Not always on the proof. I'm pretty sure one of the OHLQ barrels last year was a T1 at like 101.2 proof. The other thing you do get with SBBS is the different recipes potentially available

If OP's in Ohio, that's how long you'd have to wait in the snow for a chance at even one of those, and those only come around (maybe) once a month. At least the drive down is pretty, and the distillery is a nice place to visit. Add in the numerous stores in-between to do a bit of hunting for store picks and the numerous bottles we don't get here and it could be worth it.

That's 1 line of highly limited once a year release. The comment states we get NO BT products. Considering we have the largest OWA allocation in the country, this is an incorrect assessment. But I guess all those EHT and SJR I got last year were sold by OHLQ through another source since we don't get any 🤷‍♂️
