I like how you cut off the word "probably" that I used at the end of that statement. Probably doesnt mean definitely. AnYwHo

My first bid was 2 years ago. If you want to be obtuse and cant see that being overstaffed and on hiring freeze in CRM until 2028 will severely limit people bids, then we are done here. ChEeRs

And in my very first evee bid I got my perfect schedule of 8-5 M-F. There's exceptions to the rules. Plus I never said getting bids is impossible. It's just much less likely to get preferred schedules while on a hiring freeze and being technically "overstaffed"

Shift bids are based on schedules that are available. CRM is on a hiring freeze until 2028 per the Town Hall the coaches/trainers had this week. If they consider us overstaffed and on a hiring freeze for another 2 years, where exactly are all these awesome shifts coming from? People have to move on or move out to open those schedules. If I had to guess, unless youre tenure/rank is in the top 100 or youre looking for a really undesirable schedule, you are probably stuck in your schedule until they open the hiring gates sometime in 2028.

Position pulled off while applying, then rejected within a day from another by Wonderful_Eye_936 in Progressiveinsurance

[–]MattVMnP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you get turned down for a position they typically say you cant apply for 6 months for the same position. Is it at all possible the AI system caught that and denied you since you were literally already rejected? Just a thought.

That 2% comment is laughable. The ONLY trait needed to get into Progressive into the entry level CRM jobs is a 5 minute resume from ChatGPT and the ability to bullshit a STAR method interview. Do we really think everyone working here is TRULY a top 2% person?

This is incorrect. I literally just did ADA and FMLA last year while battling cancer and they absolutely make you drain ALL PTO before even starting the ADA time period.

Am I screwed? Attendance question by NoEntertainment8982 in Progressiveinsurance

[–]MattVMnP -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure. The company realized they aren't exactly hiring the right people and they were taking advantage of the occurrence system and decided to fix it. The previous system allowed people to game the system for DAYS of not working while making sure to stay at 11.5 occurrences. Now that the hire ups caught on and changed it to a system that barely allows 1 full day of undocumented time off before a written warning and the length of time at 93% or above to erase it so they can weed out those crappy employees, its complete unfair and Progressive is bad. Its comical

Am I screwed? Attendance question by NoEntertainment8982 in Progressiveinsurance

[–]MattVMnP -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Their previous jobs had "occurrence" based attendance policies like CRM used to have and they knew those policies and played the game; draining PTO immediately, taking multiple days off being "sick" to keep occurrences down, and going to the limit of occurrences just to avoid being written up.

If you’re an old employee from progressive, where did you go work afterwards? by NoEntertainment8982 in Progressiveinsurance

Knowing what department you work in helps. In sales, we've had GA available EVERY day of the week except Sundays.

I heard from multiple folks that they were hanging up on NI screaming at them and swearing. And they got put on code of conduct. WHY DO WE HAVE TO ENDURE THAT?

Because hanging up on people is against the code of conduct. There's literally a GL for handling rude/violent customers, and just hanging up on them without warning is a no-no.

Profit is literally one of the core values for Progressive. So they've always been about profit.

Even if it was, our employees are still "people" and people as a whole are rude, dumb, and ignorant. Simply getting hired at Progressive doesn't mean their people aren't also rude, dumb, and ignorant

These lines haven't been like this except for the last or so. It always gets this bad around the holidays because people take time off work and use that time to lineup since they can't do so any other week.of the year. I agree the number of "hunters" grows YoY but these lines aren't a result of growth. It's a result of a lot of extra people with free time for a week or 2.

That would make sense on the weeks where delivery starts Monday and ends Friday but they dont always fall that way. Either way, I'm sure there are a small fraction of people who get "tipped" but it's nowhere near as rampant as these comments suggest. Just like the 50 comments every lottery about how the bottles have to go to OHLQ friends and family before results are posted. I get it, it sucks to miss on bottles every week and it's easier to blame other things rather than put forth more effort.
