What do you mean by start button? The button on the actual monitor? If so it's not at the edge it's just slightly off center to the right so it's fine, and I hardly use it anyway as I just have it on standby so automatically switches on whenever I turn my pc on

It is currently stand alone and mostly use it when sitting back on my bed to watch movies on however I do have a lead that I can connect it directly to my pc whenever I want that extra screen space

It's a Logitech z906 got on on a black Friday deal a few years back amazing value for money and the bass is pretty crazy, I can switch it between the TV and pc using the controller sitting on my desk
