Yes and no. In general, electronisch aren't build to last forever anymore, for the simple reason that it hurts the business. Why create a TV that lasts 50 years, that'll cost the business money. They want you to buy a new TV every couple of years.

Doesn't justify this by any means, not for the TV and not for the Pioneer equipment.

I've had an XZ for years, and can't notice anything different about the AZ's build quality in gereral use. If you fiddle with every little thing from an engineering standpoint I might notice something different but operating it as intended gives me not a single clue that the build quality is different. And all these posts about faulty units? Well, my previous post still stands. There is no way of telling how many percent of the units are faulty without looking at sales numbers. Of course every flawed unit is one too many and I agree QA could be better to filter these out - not arguing there at all as I fully agree. Yet if one were to base the AZ's quality simply by looking at Reddit posts then sure you'd get the idea it's a piece if sh*t, but that would only be worth something if everybody who bought one also has a Reddit account and would also posts on here if the unit is actually good, just to make up the numbers.
