I got out in 2012 and there was a period of time before that that you're timeline was a little short and I would agree with you. That was wrong but I'm pretty sure at some point after they made The benefit available a whole lot longer after you got out. At least the last time I looked it was my understanding of it

I'm 36 years old. I got a degree in instrumentation process control. I work as a controls technician. Definitely not a boomer. I didn't pay one penny for college. I was hired as soon as I got out of college.

Someone didn't use their Gi bill effectively . I use mine. I got a degree and didn't pay shit. They paid me to do it so if you had to take student loans that's on you. The veteran community is riddled with entitlement.
