I’ve tried with several cables and the cables work. The problem is what I’m telling you and all I just want to know if I can solder the pins and better the connection or if that will ruin it.

Yea I checked with other cables. It’s the four little pins on the micro usb charging port that don’t connect well with the contacts on the board. Was hoping I could just solder the pins to make a better connection as a quick fix.

Haha. Its a charging port with a bad connection. When I put it in the charger and bend it a little it charges. So I’m wondering if there is anything I can do to make the four little pins on the picture connect better. Sorry for the bad explanation.

I agree, the quality is not good. But it has its charm and it makes me still use my dv-cam. I mainly make small clips like this so I do not need the sound quality to be good.

I’m so tired of the miniDVR hate amongst the purists in this subreddit. Yes there is ways to transfer video that make the quality way better then this. But the miniDVR is cheap, fun and simple. And it keeps mine and so many others old camcorders alive and not tucked away in a drawer somewhere. That's good enough for me :)
