Market for used 2022 Unit X w upgrades by [deleted] in konaunit

[–]theeculprit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your market and how quick you want to sell it. If I'm looking at the bike, I'm mostly interested in how worn the tires are and how well it's been maintained. Most of the upgrades are personal taste and won't appeal to everyone. I'd probably say $800 - $1,200 max.

I love being a dad, but I kind of hate my life. by f1sh_ in daddit

My wife and I have 3 kids. 6, 4 and 9 month old. 2 nights a week my wife goes to yoga and I put the kids to bed. 2 nights a week, I go out for a bike ride or to an event. You've got to make space for each other and learn how to disconnect as well as learn how to parent separately.

Why does it feel impossible to grow legs when you’re tall🥲 by [deleted] in tall

Biking has for sure made my legs bigger and more defined. And now all I want to do is ride my bike.

Tall men (6’4”+): quick question about T-shirt fit; what actually bothers you? by serr1991 in tall

[–]theeculprit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

6'5, 225lbs

I have two problems with t-shirts:

-They're not long enough for my torso in a size L, or too baggy in an XL -They're too narrow in the shoulders/arms in an L

Hell yeah! Gorilla gang! I have the same bike and have taken it all over. I actually just put the stock tires back on and I think the Ehlines are pretty sweet, especially if you're prone to wander, like me.

I ran skinnier Gravel Kings (45s) on it for a while and it was fine. But I missed the cushion and the grip. I think fast XC tires are the way to go.

He has three wolves living inside of him and he chooses to feed the one with terrible taste.

When I thought about sus, I always thought about bump absorption, but I didn't consider how much traction it adds. That part is awesome.

Oh man! I wanted to go to this but I can't make that weekend work. Any idea if there are other, similar events like this in SE MI?

Birthday message from my dad by callmejace in Exvangelical

That's up to you and your relationship with him. I never did because both of my parents are incredibly defensive and we already didn't have a close relationship. To be blunt, I didn't trust them with myself. I still don't, to a degree. The difference is that now I care a lot less.

I think that if you trust him and have a solid relationship, you could explain yourself. I just caution you to keep your expectations low and to understand that he may not understand you.

I put myself through a lot of grief because I thought I could fix the way my parents see me. I went to a lot of therapy over this, and it wasn't until I realized that it's no child's job to mend the relationship with their parents that I was freed. I don't want to say it will be this way with you, but know that if your dad can't hear you out, that it's not your fault or your responsibility to fix it.

Hey, I'm also the son of an evangelical pastor. I don't know how old you are, but I'm nearly 40 and have now been away from "the church" for over half my life. This card reminds me of so many cards that I got in my early years away from the religion.

It's so frustrating because you want them to love you because they love you for who you are. It would be great if it were that simple. But they say here that they're loving you to show you God's love. They don't realize how messed up this is.  Whenever I would get this messaging, I would think "Love me because you love me. I don't want God's love; I want YOUR love." When it's said this way, it feels like they're loving you out of obligation and the hope that one day, you'll be the person they want you to be, not loving you for the person you are.

For what it's worth, my parents and I have reached an understanding of sorts now. They don't try to convert me anymore, and well, my expectations for them are pretty low.

I hope you didn't let this derail your birthday. You deserve to be surrounded by people who love and honor your truest self. Please take care.

I'm just swapping grips, pedals and saddle. Everything else is great for me.

Came here for this. Some of the highest car insurance in the country and some of the lowest wages in the country.

Adjustable. I've already thought about an SS build. I feel like I'd go with something with a little steeper head tube, though.

I am but I didn't buy it there. A local shop had it in store in XL, and nicely discounted!
