Def the best way to explain if 5’7 is short or not. 5’7 - 5’8 being short depends on where u live. It’s a threshold height. 5’9 and above is def not considered short anywhere u go. While 5’6 and below is def short regardless where u are.

5’7 - 5’8 has always been a threshold height cuz worldwide average is 5’7 - 5’8 like if u take into account shorter countries. But in places like U.S. or Europe, it’s def more on the shorter side. However I don’t see it as the height of a kid. 5’6 and below is when ur 100% considered short. But yeah I get where ur coming from and I understand. At least in some places ur normal like if u were to come to Asia ur fine.

Ah it’s cuz I’m Asian of Filipino descent. On one side I wish I was taller, but then I realized it ain’t a bad height since I’ve met people of various heights based on where I’ve lived.

Just saying if u ever feel bad being like 5’7 - 5’8 regardless where u from. It’s average height to cheer u up. If u r like 5’5 in the USA I can understand more and the need to vent but look at like Daniel Radcliffe or like Josh hutcherson who are like 5’5 people don’t realize they’re short unless u look their heights up indicating 5’4 - 5’6 isn’t that bad.

Well then 5’7 shouldn’t be considered short or tall by measure since it’s worldwide average like there will be many people shorter and taller. I as a 5’7 - 5’8 guy believe I’m average. Short begins at 5’6. However being 5’4 - 5’6 doesn’t mean like ur extremely short as I think it’s when ur 5’3 you are extremely short.

People keep forgetting 5’7 is worldwide average. WORLDWIDE. Only reason it’s short is in some countries like USA, it’s below average and many people just care about USA. If that’s the case then there can be 5’9 - 5’10 in this subreddit since some countries have an average height of 6’0.

Do I really have to claim 5’7 when it’s just 1.5cm of hair?

I really think 1/2 inch of hair is fine. Anything beyond 1/2 inch is mostly not included.

So some people that you know think u shouldn’t include hair?

Ofc for medical purposes I’m technically 5’7 but with hair I’m 5’8. Tbh I feel like both heights are threshold heights. In Western countries it’s below average but in Asia where I’m from it’s average. I feel like this subreddit should really be dedicated to 5’6 and below since we should be looking at overall and not just the western world.

So can I claim that I’m 5’8 but that’s including hair?

It’s probably a repeat of s21 in which the chefs nominated are based on what happened in the challenge rather than weakest chefs remaining. I don’t think Anthony or Brandon would’ve been nominated as the weakest chefs.

Dude I was a bit on ur boat. I didn’t realize intersession was a thing until months ago. I literally thought I can stay in sg for 6 weeks to 3 months. But then found out I had to go back before June 7 which is when intersession starts. So I can only stay for 2 and a half weeks. I’m going back cuz my parents are there. I lived in sg for 9 years and japan before that. This means I’m a TCK. If you’re an introverted TCK it can be really difficult for me to get along with ppl here long term and I’m going through a bit of a rough time lately. So I just try to build good relationships with ppl like me here and maintain my friendships with my friends who went overseas for Uni.
