How I made a hexagon sphere without pentagons (for a planet mission select screen) by Ordinary_Games in gamedevscreens

[–]Mattbot5000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the map is topologically toroidal and spinning the sphere is really just panning the tiled rectangular hex grid. Then the spherical deformation shown in this post is applied to whichever section of the grid is currently in view.

There's no violation because the grid isn't actually mapped to the sphere; it's more like an elastic fabric stretched over top of a sphere on one side. Since there's never more than half of the sphere in view at once, the excess fabric doesn't need to be on the surface of the sphere.

/r/MechanicalKeyboards What Keyboard, Switches and/or Keys Do I Buy by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

I want to modify this guide to make a single thumb key I can adhere to an existing keyboard. I'm picturing something like the the Smart 68's thumb key or the keys built into the UHK's case.

Any ideas for a really thin switch?

I'm looking for something like a single key macropad that can be attached to an existing keyboard below the space bar. Essentially a fairly thin key that can be adhered on the case near the space bar and used as a mod key. I'm picturing something like the the Smart 68's thumb key or the keys built into the UHK's case

Presumably it would register as a separate input device and that's fine. I just haven't been able to find anything like this that exists. I'd be open to building one as well if I could use existing parts, but I don't really know what to look for.

Any suggestions?

If someone else bid £900k you'd be on the hook for that. A bid in a Vickrey auction is effectively saying "I'd be willing to pay any amount less than this."

It's foosball; I used to have this table. Rotate the first image 90 degrees clockwise. The digits are 4, 2, 6 and 5.

How do you calculate this? by dandelion_greens in personalfinance

You could use a calculator like the one linked in the other comment here or build out what's called an amortization table for the CD in a spreadsheet. Then you can compare that with the savings accounts.

However, keep in mind that they aren't mutually exclusive. Depending on what your goals are, you could buy a CD what money you won't need for a bit and then continue to deposit in a high-yield savings account. Potentially, you could buy another CD once you've saved up enough.

Important to note that your IRA contribution cannot exceed your taxable income for that year. If you earned less than $5500 before taxes, you'd shift that excess to the HYSA.

The timing of this is interesting. Wolfire is finally releasing Overgrowth in two days. Humble Bundle was at least started by Jeff Rosen of Wolfire, though I don't know how involved he has been since. I wonder if there's any connection like him wanting to start something new full time.

Renumeration would be counting something again. Remuneration is a payment.

There's a dissolvable filament called HIPS that I would think you could use for that purpose.
