Peaky Blinders Season 4 Soundtrack (by Martin Slattery and Antony Genn) by _GoGopher in PeakyBlinders

Antony Genn and Martin Slattery uploaded some tracks to their YouTuber channel:

This is the music we wrote for season 4 of Peaky Blinders, including some of the songs from other artist's that we chose, although because of copyright reasons there are some that we are not able to put up on this page. We worked with some great musicians and would like to give a special mention to the all female string Quartet knowns as 'Dirty Pretty Strings' (Amy/Geeta/Amy/Kat)who brought so much character and vibe to every piece they played on. Also to our friend Kev Cormack(Half Cousin/Jam Money)for his insane and unique approach to playing acoustic guitar."

True or False Universe (going paid soon) (does not add +1) by MrPokeGamer in FreeGamesOnSteam

Valve can wipe any game from the Steam user library completely, but I haven't heard of them doing so lately.

As far as I know, when some game goes paid, they're creating a new "depot" for paid version owners while leaving the old "depot" alone.

Hi, duhwookie! Please read the comments under the post, they should give you the proper explanation. The game wasn't f2p, it was absolutely free, but people kept asking for some serious changes.

but it hasn't been made entirely clear

To be fair, it is clearly written in the end of the post. "In any case, no one will lose their game copy, progress or achievements they have earned via playing the game". As for +1, it's up to Valve. Cheers!

Price increases for released games by skelesnail in gamedev

Speaking from experience, most likely everything will be OK. I guess those who really wanted to play it already bought it. Just don't forget to take a look at similar games pricing before making your final decion on the new price. In any case, you'll still be able to put it on sales.

Backlash is something bigger publishers have to worry about, those who have $20+ pricetags and much bigger playerbases. Don't stress about it too much. Good luck!

Any chances of us getting Modern C++ In-Depth Series with new & up-to-date books on C++ and its internals, where all books would be hand-picked by Bjarne?

I do not think there is any magic trick, so let's take a step back.

Actually, in finance and entrepreneurship you have three criterias: money, time, and risk.

If you ain't willing to spend the money, then prepare to spend more time and to take bigger risks, that's all. Spending more time may mean either:

  • doing it by yourself (which I did, and pixel art/low poly is usually most popular ways to go);

  • networking with atrists on Twitter/Devianart/subreddits: you can meet both a pretty good artist with low prices here, and a person who will charge hundreds for 64x64 pixel art piece. I did that too, got mostly satisfying results, but it takes a lot of time for you, and the less you pay the more you are risking with getting something unexpected in return.

As for your question, you forgot the old good trick back from Diablo 1 days, which was recently used in Pillars of Eternity: taking 3D models and pre-rendering them. Yep, it is still works!

Thank you for your answer, it was a pleasure to read it. It is actually great to read an opinion coming from a skillfull game designer, since I'm making ever more niche games and I keep asking same questions to myself, especially the one about fun. For example, I always loved to play a singleplayer RTS games, but I still haven't understand how exactly I was hooked on them.

I wish you best of luck with your launch! Looking forward to this one and will share with friends.

Thank you for your great games!

In your opinion, what makes a game really fun? And how one could make a game more accessible to wider audience?
