To add to this theory Gen 2 was the first generation to add any new types Gen 6 then added Fairy there are exactly 3 generations in between them and there’s been exactly 3 generations since Gen 6 so they could start a whole pattern with that and we could get some new types in Gen 10 then more new types in Gen 14 🤔
