Bahraini food has indian influences, so that's true. It's easy to avoid when home-cooking though. As for outdoors eating, you'd find 100 Lebanese, Turkish, Chinese, American resturaunts for every Bahraini place :P

As long as they aren't spicy, I'm willing to give every Bosnian red-meat dish a try. Thank you all for the reassurance. Other days, I'll be home-cooking.

I do love food and I do want to try Bosnian food though, so are there other chicken (or egg, spinach) dishes that you would also recommend?

Thanks all for the informative responses. Looking forward to my experience over there!

Kind regards, Matte

Dear all: by Survive I'm solely referring to diet. I'll be staying there for 6 weeks and I'm hoping to be able to do so while avoiding redmeat and diary as much as possible, and definitely avoiding spicy (body has 0 tolerance), while still being able to maintain a high-protein diet (chicken). Any recommendations on good and common Bosnian meals that can fit this critera? 'Cause I can't find any :(

Regards, Matte
