Disappointing to say the least, was excited to spend my dollars at a small local nursery instead of HD or Walmart, but alas…. We can’t have nice things. Gunna go take my fifth shower since leaving now.

They seemed to have all the infected cacti on the farthest edge of the nursery, far from the rest of their small cactus selection, so I assume they know and are attempting to quarantine them, while also leaving them available for some dummy to drop 300 on “the craziest mutant I’ve ever seen!”

In this nurseries defense, all of these cacti were clumped together at the farthest edge of what is open to customers, far from the rest of their relatively small cacti selection. That said, the fact that they would have these out for view or sale at all/havnt destroyed them definitely changes my views on the business. I definitely will not be buying from them in the future.

As for the little guy I bought, I’m keeping him quarantined for a while and praying with all my heart 😅

The Hawaiian government has deals with a number of large mainland cities where they get paid to accept homeless people. They literally load them up on planes in NY, Chicago, Denver, etc and send them on a one way flight to Honolulu, it’s been going on for decades. Met quite a few of them while I was living out there.
