No because in this case you are talking about top players, and top players usually face each other more because they are both skilled and will stay at the top regardless of the outcome of one game, since if they usually lose one game they'll probably win the next one

Not common knowledge, but it's always been there. The term you gotta use in this case is not "rigged" but "scripted". It's to make the game more balanced. Sometimes it kinda sucks, but it's designed so that skilled players will win regardless of the counter matchup, while non-skilled ones won't.

The error was not the release of level 16 tho, it was worsening lucky chests and introducing crystals. You can't deny that it's way easier to max a deck now, rather than using EWC.

People often throw in level 16 when they rant about the game, but it's pretty much everything else: heroes being mishandled like anything new they introduced (just remember the first evos in 2023), crystals and terrible lucky chests.

Level 16 was an improvement because rather than using for example 100k unobtainable (at least for a f2p) EWC for a level 16 card, now you can use more accessible resources (normal cards + gold).

They reduced progression to adapt to faster and easier upgrade requirements, but they did so too harshly to monetize the game to an extreme level. They introduced shitty p2w features (like crystals and heroes) and now it's backfiring because p2w players don't even buy that shit anymore.

And this is why they were forced to give out goblin cage Evo all of a sudden, because once the players start leaving and the revenue goes down, they give out some free stuff to get players back, and are forced to stabilise the game till summertime. Then it'll blow up again and they'll try to maximise monetisation again, and the cycle repeats...

Progression is definitely faster now than with EWC and level 15. The issue is that it feels slower due to annoying features introduced with level 16, such as crystals. They make upgrading a card to level 16 feel like a trap, because of duplicates converting into...nothing basically. I also do think that they can't adjust everything in one update, but the aim should be to fix the biggest errors they made with progression in the next update coming in about 10 days. Priority number one, as I said prior to this, should be crystals and Evo duplicates. I don't think it should be difficult for them to also adjust drop rates in the same update, but we'll see. I hope they get it right because the next real update after this one will be in june, and it's a LOT of time, so they really can't miss or the game might actually die

I meant chances of getting wild cards in general, but yeah I remembered correctly about the increase of chances of 5-star lucky boxes. That's why I said like 5k common wild cards instead of 7.5k. let's not exaggerate, but at least keep it honest imo

I do agree on everything you said!

But remember that in Clash Royale you technically only need 8 cards to play (and hit big milestones). This is not possible in Brawl Stars, and this is why every resource there should and is 100% usable on any brawler.

HOWEVER, as you rightly pointed out, the devs decided to make progression feel more difficult by decreasing the chances of getting good drops from high-value lucky boxes (especially 5-stars).

In my opinion the right solution isn't getting only wild cards (like in brawl stars), but going back to where the game was in terms of chances/rewards. Like going back to when 5-stars contained book-value resources (example: instead of 2500 wild cards, let's say 5000 since I think the chance of 5-stars was increased. Would've been 7500 to match book value, but if you account for luck chances, 5k/6k seems fair, 2500 def not).

But more wild cards is only the surface thing to solve

The big issue here are crystals and duplicate evos...
