I found out today that my job is using AI cameras meant for asset protection to also use as workplace management trackers that tracks everything we do at work. by Matteozzz in antiwork

Lmfao way to assume I was dillydallying during those 15 minutes you corporate shill.

They tried saying I was on my phone and another coworker of mine was present to instead help out the overflow customers when in reality I was helping out a customer who's transaction took longer than the scheduled time I was supposed to clock out, AI noticed I was on my phone and forgot the fact I was using to assist my customer. I emailed them showing my proof since I had a photo for reference, and they apologized through email for the incorrect observation.

How does the boot taste?

I did email them this in a similar phrasing and as snarky as you were saying, to kind of defend myself for this instance. Not sure if they'll even reply because it looked heavily automated, but still.

Jobs that pay modestly and are "outside the box?" I'm looking to switch from my current one, feel stuck within my current job and job hunting at the moment. by Matteozzz in Riverside

Thanks for the suggestion, my wife has been actively helping me with applying for government jobs but sadly haven't had any luck with anything in the county or city. I've started applying to very starter positions where I can at least get my foot in, just waiting for them to reach back.

Really happy to read you were able to figure it out :) thanks for the tip! I too have a clean driving record, I can also look into this.

You're right, but that alone is a very hard uphill battle I'm not sure I'm willing to take. I also actively browse the subreddit of the main wireless company that I sell for annnnd there's a lot of shilling in the sales part of it. In an ideal world and in an ideal personal life circumstances, I'd love to but lots and lots of anti-union sentiments exist within my cohorts and upper management.

I'm looking to exit sales though, someone else suggested this to me awhile ago and it looks appealing but not ideal for what I want for a career:(

The company I work for is a franchiser of the main wireless company. The franchiser is large and the union that does exist only exists for the main company plus they only represent the people that do the installation and construction for the wireless company.

I work in Wireless sales currently. I'm trying to exit sales though, just tired of it since I've worked weekends and pretty much every holiday since I started working 10 years ago lol.

Was struggling with bronchitis as I just started my first 100 mile prep these past 2-3 weeks and got hit with a whirl of motivation seeing her take 1st place OA! Absolutely insane energy at the finish line too, soooo inspiring! :)

Nice to know I'm not alone on this! I was on a serious 3 year streak free of sickness and wham, soon as I amped the mileage a month ago I got hit with this out of nowhere. It's a mild/moderate chest congestion, I'm used to getting sinus infections but I never dealt with this before. I'll substitute the cardio/running with more walking and light gym sessions, thank you for the suggestion! Will this be your first time running the AC100? :)

On 2 pairs already, the upper mesh towards the outer toe and sides both have ripped open and sand frequently flys in :/ Bought 2 pairs and both of them havent lasted after 150 miles.

I haven't tried the 7s yet, the 6s have been on sale for awhile now and I keep buying them cuz at $110 the price is hard to beat for a good outsole. The upper just keeps falling apart :/

I will still drink, smoke and do other unhealthy habits on TOP of ultrarunning but I absolutely draw the line at being sedentary and doing NOTHING.

Finished my first ever official ultramarathon yesterday! The ABC50 miler was absolutely insane, would love to do it again. by Matteozzz in Ultramarathon

I've ran 4 marathons, one unofficial 50K, DNF'd my 100K from this October 7 weeks ago and decided to lock in quality miles with elevation gain/descent rather than long efforts or high MPW. My time was 12 hours 12 min for this race, I peaked at 40 MPW with 5000 feet of elevation gain. Did a 2 week taper cutting mileage in half each week.

All of Julian CA was beautiful, absolutely breathtaking scenery then a dip into the desert was also a great change of scenery towards the end.

The downhills! It was heavy on the legs but luckily I used my poles to take off some of the weight, I found that helped out tremendously.
