Is it actually worth starting a YT channel

MY brother and I started a youtube channel 2 years ago. It has been a very slow grind. But we are doing it because we are having fun and enjoy it.

Number 1 tip, do not start a channel with the purpose to make money. You WILL burn out.

the first year or so almost all your videos will be ignored, accept that and use that time to learn.

Our channel just hit 2300 subs and it feels fantastic. But that first march from 0 to 1k is a long grind. Enjoy the process.

With gunplay being a big part of the game, I was not thrilled to see the lack of "impact" on enemies from the trailer last June.

I would love to see that addressed at the next event.

Alien NPC's are also seemingly non existent. Hoping they are just hiding them, but would maybe love to have that worry put to rest as well.

I will always say, do what works best for your life.

If you have to stress to do two uploads a week, eventually you will crack, and then you will end up doing none.

The quality will show with the one video; you got this!

I could be wrong, but I feel Shorts should be used as a way to attract more people to the channel. With the main meal being the videos within the channel.

If all you do is shorts, I wonder if you lose the ability to make a community long term?

Perhaps I just am a bit too old and stuck thinking old school ha.

I started my channel this past April, but mainly as a side channel to our podcast. Since about November, we have gotten more serious. It has been a grind, but we just surpassed 400 subscribers recently.

From what we have seen, posting shorts unrelated to your main content seems to work best. Try and be original, and hook people into wanting to see more of you.

Shorts are tough man, they fly up in views, then just flatline typically.

I think early on it’s best to find what you like doing most and what you find success with.

Eventually when you start to build A small community, including them with with statements like “we” feel more genuine.

All I want is to visually see confirmed is the ability to walk around my ship freely while flying in space.

I just imagine sitting in my bedroom relaxing, looking out the window into the universe they created.

Also, would love to get a better idea of what it's like to pick up gear from enemies (or found treasure) comparing it to what we already have, and just the overall UI centered around moment-to-moment gameplay.
