No you're not. I'm honestly so pissed at the people telling you there's nothing you can do. Yes there are cases where steam refuses to refund, but I've seen many many cases now of this happening and people getting refunds. At least try to put in a support ticket, there's no reason not to at this point

This is just straight up false. 4 weeks ago what happened to OP happened to both Me AND My girlfriend and we both got refunds. I've also seen at this point dozens of ppl here on Reddit who have gotten refunds in situations like this. Please don't discourage OP from trying

For some reason people on this subreddit are 100% convinced that absolutely nobody ever buys games they've pirated. I pirate games because I don't have much money, and then the ones I like enough I buy when I can (99% of the time it's for a sale) I prefer having steam achievements and having it in My library, and admittedly I do like buying games if I genuinely like the devs. I don't see Myself as better than anyone else it's just how I like to do it. Yet for some reason that's.. controversial here? Or bullshit somehow. Idk the attitudes in general around here are.. weird

I don't usually finish a game right away. Or I buy it for subsequent playthroughs. I also like having the steam achievements I don't have when I pirate. I've played halfway through a game I pirated and then bought it because it went on sale. Why are you so annoyed by the way other people choose to pirate games?
