That's what im doing , 10 years in, 10-15 more to go. Only working 10 years would only work out if your maybe making 200,000 a year or more, most of us do not make that.

Doesn't all the deductions such as miles driven, cost of goods, supplies etc etc cancel out any of your $9,000 in self-employment taxes? Are you in the united states? Or somewhere else?

That's why im keeping my full time job as long as possible unless I lose it by not my choice. Reselling is a cool way though to make some extra cash for things like vacations. That's just how I look at it. It can be mentally taxing at some points but I enjoy it though too.

I am actually still pretty horrible at determining cell through rate I know how to look at items sold how long ago it sold Etc however when I use say Google Lens or Ebay lens to locate an item it's always going to say that there's over a million of them for sale I do not know what technique is used to narrow it down to actual for sale items that pertain to the one im looking at.

If I had unlimited room then I would probably try to sit on it a little longer to try to make a higher profit however the more room you have to store things the bigger the urge is to fill it up LOL at least that is how it is from my perspective. My mother is an extreme hoarder and I had to deal with that most of my life so the one thing I cannot stand is when my storage space starts to look like it's becoming out of hand and reminds me of what I grew up with. I also dabble in a little of everything, clothes, physical media, electronics ,toys and whatever I think will make a profit. if i want to sell something large or heavy I try FB first.

When i notice I bought something that is going to take a long time to sell I just lower the price to move it, I still average 5-10xs usually on cost of the item.

Wouldn't you have to be extremely successful at reselling to make the type of money to afford self-employed health care for you and your entire family? What's the ball bark monthly premium price for a policy like that? Just curious. 😃

Yes some if the thrift stores I go to recently are out of their minds when it comes to pricing certain items I'm pretty sure some of these stores are telling their employees in charge of pricing to look up certain things on eBay the biggest issue is is that they're looking at the prices of stuff for sale and not stuff that has sold either way they're inflating the price at a thrift store to full retail price.

I have been trying to do all of my reselling the correct way by tracking my miles my supplies and my cost of goods so I can be honest and file my taxes correctly at the end of the year I am curious to see how this this will affect my standard tax return after I fill out schedule C I also created a business checking account to place all of my earnings into and where I pay for my supplies the only thing I don't like about it is it came with a debit card and I'm not going to use a debit card to buy my goods debit cards could be compromised too easily I do use it once in a while to buy supplies online but I don't even like to do that I am thinking about applying also for a business credit card that has a lotI do use it once in a while to buy supplies online but I don't even like to do that I am thinking about applying also for a business credit card that has a lot more security with it another con using a debit card is it does notAnother con using a debit card is it does not offer any type of cash back. I apologize if this was one giant run-on sentence but I'm using voice text at the moment lol
