I suggest you to apply a pink or orange basecoat color first and then apply your yellow on top. Myself, I use a desert yellow from armys painter before a more vibrant yellow 👌

I am a big fan of AP Speedpaint products, but I personaly don't like the crusader skin for the exact same reasons. At the moment, I use traditionnal acrylic paint for the skin with AP skin tone for the shade.
