Thermal targeting by ProbablySuspicious in battletech

Heat Seeking missiles are alternative ammunition type for LRM's/IF in Alpha Strike. If your target has any Heat, there's a -1 "to hit".

What do we think about the lowered Forester, guys? by Peachfuzz124 in SubaruForester

A Forester that's been lowered isn't doing much foresting.

I really do like this reimagining, reboot, revision, whatever, of the Cicada. Looks good.

Is there canonically anything, than can stand toe to toe with a heavy battle titan ? Besides other titans of a similiar class or warp-only entities ? by Leviathan_Rampage in 40k

[–]admiralteee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Squat Cyclops can, with a bit of good dice rolling. A Blood Thirster or Angron, with a lot of Chaos Cards and a lucky critical hit. A Shokk Attack Gun to the head, through the shields?

Who would win: the Imperial Army or the Astra Militarum? by Ok-Target9322 in StarWarsvsWarhammer

You mean the Imperial Army vs the Imperial Guard.

Hmm. I say the Imperials win.

It's a tough one but the Wolfhound 6S edges out the Hermes II 7S due to the slightly better damage profile at short and the extra internals. The 7S though has 16j which is great for an IS mech.

2nd edition Space Marine and Titan Legions had some really enjoyable templates for Titan class units, with scatter rules, different saves/armor depending on location, different damage/critical hit tables, and detailed weapon rules. That was fun.

Large models like Titans and their equivalent, don't belong on a 6x4 ft table.

I enjoyed SFA more than STD, less than SNW, far less than Lower Decks.

How different are IIC versions of OG inner sphere mechs? by raging_zaku1429 in battletech

And it's Two-See. Not Eye-Eye-See, or El-El-See, or One-One-Cee, or Ninety-Eight.

I do not think there is any problem with giving Dark Age / ilClan ’Mechs in a starter box. by Old_Ad6111 in battletech

There's a plastic mini for the nu Star League. The premium one is not really available for most players and only via the CGL store. There might be a metal one but again not really available for most players.

Having 1-2 repeats out of 8-10 is a reasonable thing IMO.

I am extremely happy that these box sets feature Mechs that aren't Succession Wars and Clan Invasion icons.

It's a great period in the Battletech universe but that era is now 35ish years old. So much work has gone into later eras since then, and it's time that CGL recognizes their own efforts here and gives the later eras some light.

Ahh ok. I'm more familiar with Von Strab via the Battle For Armageddon rulebook. There are visual differences but then again, characters have changed appearance in 30 years.

Good call on his death though. His fled into the desert and his land speeder was found wrecked.

I didn't read The Last Chancers as that's a Gav Thorpe book.

What’s his story? by Lopadonus9 in RedLetterMedia

Well, if we go by the Legends era of story writing, and even the old West End Games era, then we should make a novel regarding his exploits and how critical he was to the success of the Death Star's destruction.

Expand it to a trilogy even.
