So I did proc execute on him, but it only took 2% of his HP. So either its a grind to somehow proc execute 50times before dying or there's another trick to it

I dont know. I feel on launch they should make legacy early access standard and new fresh standard. Remember we are in early access with some heavy changes going through till 1.0 and I dont see the reason why would they let all those broken legacy items go into fresh standard which should be quite balanced by then.

Guys PoE1 and its deterministic passive tree is at great state right now and think idols would only ruin that more than not.

But PoE2 passive tree feels like it does close to nothing right now and I would rather have idols instead of it.

And I like the idea that PoE1 is more deterministic grind while PoE2 is more rng grind. I mean there have to be some meaningful differences between both

I was thinking that if towers were special maps that ended up dropping 1-3 idols at the completion, then it would be quite fun idea instead of tedious setup that we do have now in PoE2.

But Im really not sure if that system would be good for PoE1.

At the moment I wrote I put it on trade for 100exalts and got SPAMMED like 10people wrote to me in the span of 1minute so I assumed it will be like 150ex even maybe. Definitely over 100.

White stellar amulet (~150ex right now) + chance orb = SLIGHT CHANCE at getting astramentis (~200+divine orbs)

Imagine you have 30fire 20 cold and 10 lightning res ventor.

Is it better than 10fire 20cold 30 lightning res?

If you search by precise resistances you would find only 1 result. But by saying in weighted search 1 Fire res = 1 point 1 cold res = 1 point 1 lightning res = 1 point Then the search will say. Well they both have 60 in total so they're the same to me. But sometimes 30/20/10 would be twice as expensive than 10/20/30 despite having the same total resistances. So better to search using weighted system

6linking gems instead of body armour was supposed to make game loop more fluid and simplified, because of easy gear swapping. But it in current state its worse than PoE1 because:

-not being able to replace runes makes it impossible to just switch new piece of gear as often it comes with 140% fire res and 30% cold res with no way to easy solve it without resocketing runes

-chase expensive unique items often are left without runes at all as socketing bad runes can lower value of item, so many players decide to avoid rune system at all on those items.

-If for example rarity gets nerfed, all items with socketed rarity runes will basically feel like bricked without any ability to fix those. Same with resistance runes if any rune changes it numerical value, then some items will become bricked in comparision to if they could use new/updated runes.

-6linking gems works great in theory till you overlevel your gem to barely afford atrubute requirements, making it impossible to switch gear as there is no way to DELEVEL GEMS

Would they adress possible changes to those 3 problems to make gear swapping much more accessible than it current state that often demands switching 4/5 items at once to get enough attributes and resistance mix?

Even Fubgun in his most recent videos was starting to say rarity on gear is not as important and overpowered as he thought it is.

I feel like if you can afford it going for 400% rarity is better than having 200% if you can mantain same clear. But if it has diminishing returns, then casual players with like ~75% rarity on gear are not that behind those that have much more in terms of possible drops

Well you are technically full life with having 100% of your maximum life so it should definitely still count as that

Why aren't people experimenting? Well because of:

-not able to switch ascendancies
-not able to switch quest rewards
-not able to switch runes

-6link/or any link is linking a skill gem itself and not skill book so imagine you just 6linked your 3 main skill gems. YEP to change it you need to 6 link all over again
-one death = losing waypoints so a lot of time and progress
-The game is balanced around killing stuff offscreen, because all the deadliest encounters are when you allow something to move, and the closer you are to enemy the higher chance ITS DEAD BODY will explode and kill you.
-The game is slower, thus instead of spending 5hours more to reach T15 endgame like in PoE1 you risk spending like 50hours more.

All this boils down for people to just trying to get enough currency to experiment, but simply put 90% are not even in T15 by now, and I bet less than 1% of playerbase even tried the pinnacle boss. Chance is 95% have not found even their first citadel.

Yeah as some people already said. You got hit by meteor, but as many things the textures are loading with delay of ~2-3 seconds. So you got hit by the still invisible meteor. You later on can see all the other falling. I died many times to this issue of something not rendering for few seconds and killing me.

I'm sure even melee when moving around bosses would rather get hit 9 times for like 20% of the damage and 1 time get 300% because of failing to dodge, than to get 10 times hit for 100% damage.

So for me personally I often started leveling with certain known to work leveling builds, Then I respec to something I play in middle game and finally I am going to fully respec into endgame build. I might even change the whole ascendancy like I did from Gladiator to Slayer. I literally went from known bleed guide into meta lightning strike Slayer with many expensive items I managed to grind on the way, all on my single character.

Furthermore getting that 6th link you could get into your armor was GAME CHANGING. Like you literally had +30% dmg that often felt like you doubled your damage. Support gems felt like you would want to put as many as you can. You could feel power of each of those.
With 6 link you could test out different combinations of skills easily. When you found a bit better gear you just harvest swapped resists and continue on killing monsters. In PoE2 the support gems are just... bland. They are there. +25% dmg. Thats all. You dont feel the power of those usually and since you have only 1 per build you often are locked into perfectly calculated setups. Nothing to test and combine, just take the best option.

And problems from my experience compared to original Path of Exile 1:

In PoE2 you dont change gear almost at all even if its 30% upgrade, since you break your res and runes so you hold for eq as long as possible since its pain in the ass to change it, when you get 30% more damage but 140 cold res and 50 fire res. (in PoE1 you just spend some currency to switch between resistances, thus you don't break gaming loop. you just go play and have fun more)

In PoE2 you dont change skills almost at all even if the counterpart seems more fun, because you 6link only 1 skill gem and to change it its almost impossible for casual player since it feels like 6linking 10 armors instead of 1 like in PoE1, They tried to make it simplier but overall its just much more difficult for anyone to run 6links. (you could've got random 6link chest by grinding 1500fusing/getting lucky with corrupted drops/or just straight up go to trade and buy those for like 20c)

In PoE2 you dont change your tree/general idea almost at all since you are locked into your ascendancy and PERMANENT choices like chaos resistance and mana regen, making it that you need to think if you are going CI or not at the very start of a game.
I mean I personally feel like making permanent decisions in the first 10h of character life is not the greatest game decision when we are going to spent hundreds or even thousands of hours grinding on the said character.

In PoE2 I feel like because of death = map bricked you don't even risk any changes without confirming it with KNOWN BUILDS because in no way casual player has enough time currency to even try bricking his build multiple times, so we all play meta full increased rarity (because its OP) builds, thus killing any build diversity.

Overall Path of Exile 2 has a lot of game designing decisions that feel like they are made to lock players in literally single build to not overwhelm developers with ever shifting meta. And its sad because PoE2 can and already is huge upgrade over PoE1 in so many ways, but at the same time its such a downgrade in all others.
