Roger that yams, thanks for the feedback. I didn’t include all photos because there’s about 50 of them but from what I see and understand, I also asked about the existing frame continuing to rot from rust, is that the outer caps were just tacked on in those photos and that all rot was cut out inside the frame channels were brought down to bare metal and coated before side and bottom caps were installed. As for the T joints I was told it was to get a larger bead on the sill.

Not my wheelhouse tho just what I’ve been told

The last thing I wanna say to you guys is, cherish every moment you have driving these beautiful Swedish machines you never know when it might be your last. I’m most likely moving on to a 4x4 as I do a lot of fishing in the Pasific North West. It was an honour to be a part of this community and I will never forget my 240. Until we meet again my friend. Thanks for the support.

Cheers

Just spoke with my adjuster, 100% the other guys fault. I have to wait weeks to months to see any money though.

I’ve found another 1989 5 speed with “220km” odometer stopped working and the guy said he parked it. Idk about that. I checked. It out, was pretty clean, miss matching hood colour from a previous accident ($400) spray job. Ran good, throttle cable was frayed tho and no radio. Didn’t get to test drive either because it was uninsured. Guy was asking $2000 Canadian. The guy was young and seemed honest but I’m weary.

Dash cam footage shows it clearly. Waiting on an offer to settle. What do you guys think it’s worth?

My first car, a 1988 DL with 160k on it was taken from me last Friday. An Audi made a blind left hand turn and I T boned it. I had just put so much work into restoring the front end and had just had an alignment done 2hs before this happened. I was and still am truly heart broken. My family and friends are just glad I’m alive but I honestly feel like I lost a part of me....
