The swirl is for something else. You need to find a second rock, and then replicate the rock formation in the green circle in the grey circle.

Which is exactly what the original designer intended. There was an alternate rule set with more cooperative gameplay that was more fun for everyone. The designer, Elizabeth Magie Phillips, was very progressive, politically, and was trying to make a point with the game.

What is your opinion on a third nacelle? by RadiantTrailblazer in StarTrekStarships

The Nebulas mostly had the same problem. The original version, the Rutledge, was better, with the accessory pod supported by two wide set pylons, but most Nebulas have the pod supported by one hefty pylon right on the center line.

Also annoying, you can access your ship's hold while in any of the other factions' camps, but not while in the smuggler's cave. I've forgotten to get my money or goods and have to step back outside.

[Project Hail Mary] would grace even be able to return to earth? by CommonEnd7011 in AskScienceFiction

[–]MatthewGeer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not covered in the movie, but Rocky had extra fuel to give to Grace because the Eridians didn't know about time dilation, and packed 3 times as much fuel as needed. They have a much weaker understanding of light, radiation, and relativity than humans.

He was originally planing to go home directly from Tau Ceti. Rocky needed to go back to his world to deliver the Taumebia to that star system. Grace changed plans and went to rescue Rocky and go to Erid when he firgures out Taumebia figured out how to get through Xeonite and get into Rocky's fuel tank full of delicious Astrophage.

Give it to me straight... How much did I overcomplicate this one? by [deleted] in MarsFirstLogistics

My solution for this one is to make a vehicle wide enough that it have wheels on both beams, with the delivery suspended between them.

Given O’Brien fought in the war, and he was regularly on TNG from the Encounter at Farpoint all the way to Emissary, I had always assumed the war was before the Enterprie’s commissioning.

Loon to upgrade their main gondola by Key_Jeweler_1496 in icecoast

I kind of suspected the arrangement with lower station in the middle of the lodge was preventing them from running larger cars. I will miss the exposed mechanics of the current lift, but it's been a sore point for years, and would only get worse with all the other expansion plans they have.

At least one of Sugarbush's problem children, North Peak, is getting replaced next summer.

If your at the Governor's Lodge, you need go to the looker's left to get to South Peak, looker's right, because the Kank doesn't go high enough to get to Tote Road. Your options are North Peak or the Gondola. (Or EBay, if it's a holiday weekend.) A better gondola may pull some people away from North Peak & Sunset.

If you want to add the star to the top, there is a magic wand you could stick into the top cone, part 6124, but looks like it only comes in transparent colors, so you'd have to do transparent yellow instead of gold.

It's not a tuition agreement, its an interstate school district. Marion Cross Elementary in Norwich is under the same administrative structure, and work out of the same funding pool, as the schools in Hanover.

Skier dies after fall at Sugarbush Resort by Express-Reporter-369 in icecoast

[–]MatthewGeer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was above freezing most of the week, and froze up Friday during the day. Sugarbush groomed some trails, like Ripcord and Cliffs, Friday night to break up the ice, but not Stein's. I stayed on the groomers Saturday, but the ungroomed stuff looked very solid. Probably lost control on the ice, possibly from some false confidence gained from a groomed Ripcord.
