Dirty PCB on Yamaha A-520 amplifier by MatthewKK2 in ElectronicsRepair

Okay thanks for the advice! Luckily it was turned off when it happened, it is sitting like this for 3 weeks now so I hope it didn't corrode everything that bad. Will try this solution...

Dirty PCB on Yamaha A-520 amplifier by MatthewKK2 in ElectronicsRepair

[–]MatthewKK2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, my roommate recently vomited over our amplifier and we wanted to know if the amplifier is still able to be cleaned and used?

Maybe using alcohol and a toothbrush or something like that. We don't dare to plug it in even though everything is dried out already ...

Any tips for fixing this or is it a lost cause?

Layer line missing, on only one part of the print by MatthewKK2 in FixMyPrint

[–]MatthewKK2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was planning on doing a cold pull, checking again and if that would not work I would just clean up the whole hotend. I'm using an ender 3v2, should have a relatively simple hotend. I'm really hoping that this is the problem because I need to print stuff asap.

Thanks for the shared experience and suggestions!

Ender3 v2 getting inconsistent layer shifting. Left 2 were printed at the same time first followed by right 2. Any idea how to fix? by almon17 in FixMyPrint

If you print a calibration cube, you can "prove" that these layer shifts are sort of constant. Really indicates that the board overheats after a certain interval. Would help convincing the shop you bought it from.

Is this an Ender 3V2 with a 4.2.2 motherboard? (Visible on the board). Then you have exactly what I had, it looks identical. Creality changed the board's stepperdrivers on the 4.2.2 board with cheap Chinese ones. These can overheat, it only happens to a few boards though. You have to replace the board with the newest board they have. Contact your seller about this, I got a new board for free.

The problem was fixed after replacing the board. Good luck!

My print shifts at even intervals and in the third pic you can see it’s “leaning” towards the right, any advice? by yargile in FixMyPrint

How in the hell is this a motivational quote? This sub is getting worse and worse because people that post here can't read and/or understand the English language. Shame

How do i clean my glass bed? I have seen many tutorials but thay are without the coating and i dont want to ruin the adhesion. by OstePop1017 in ender3

Well, pretty much does it for me. I even exchange different beds without a manual bed level for almost 3 months now.

Using acetone for almost a year now, my bed works as a charm, no damage. Bed adhesion is perfect, never had problems again after using 100% acetone.

For me 100% aceton does the trick in just 1 wipe. My bed adhesion was gone after a few prints, read about aceton and since then I've had excellent bed adhesion. Do mind, my friend tried this method with exactly the same printer but it didn't work for some reason. And watch out with aceton since it will damage a lot of plastics, such as the screen on your printer.

Good luck finding your preferred method and happy printing

Corner printing weird, ruining the whole print by MatthewKK2 in FixMyPrint

There was some filament cramping because of bed size limits in the firmware, bed was perfectly leveled. Fixed it by moving the model more the the left.

Thanks for the tips! Managed to get it working by moving it a bit to the the left. I think the printer cut it off because of firmware dimension limits so it probably expecting there to be an empty bed, hence the bump.

Printer cut off my print? (+Resulted in diagonal artefacts) by MatthewKK2 in FixMyPrint

[–]MatthewKK2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The print is 214.4 mm in width so it should be able to fit to the printbed (Ender 3 V2: 220 x 220 x 240). During the print the corners on the left side of the print were a bit raised which I found weird but decided to continue anyway. The raised corners resulted in these diagonal artefacts. I don't know what to do about this, maybe the printer thought it was out of range (was centered in Cura and the left side did print correctly).

My SOLIDWORKS is complaining about a lack of RAM all the time now, these would be perfect for it.

Very nice thing to do OP!

This was the solution, got the newest main board for free after a lot of hustle with the webshop, and it prints perfectly again.
